Rocky MUST fire Bowman before the TDL, and get a REAL "hockey guy" as GM.
I dont want Bowman making any more roster decisions. |

Sigh, missed the game.
Was it really as bad as the score would say it was? - hawkitect

The good ship Blackhawk has become the Titanic.
The Defense on this team is pathetic. I feel sorry for the goaltending on this team. No support what so ever. Seconday scoring? Hell there is no primary scoring.
Time for Bowman to go. Also time to say thanks for all you have done and ask 19, 2, 88, 7, 15, 20 and 50 for a list of teams they will accept a trade to. Tear it down and start from scratch. Let them play out their careers playing for a cup.
If Im a advertiser / sponser of this team I ask for a partial refund. Force management to make changes at the top of tge organization. I'm so glad I dont have season tickets ! - mmurray892
Why would you trade Kane? He is leading the league in goals playing on a line with no offensive support, on a bottom dwelling team. Kane is the ONLY guy in the "Leadership" group that improves year after year. Who replaces his offense? Who do you think you're going to get via trade? It makes no sense to trade Kane. Similarly, there's nobody who's looking to add $10.5mil for a 30yr old 2C Toews, or $7mil for a 33yr old 5D in Seabrook.
What the Hawks can and should do, if managed better, is dump the $20+mil tied up in bottom of roster guys like Anisimov, Manning, Rutta, Ward, Gustafson, Murphy.
EDIT: Crawford is an attractive trade target given his limited term, fair cap hit, and upgrading many of the "contending" team's goalie situations. IDC who's in goal bc this team can't score or defend. That's another $6mil in cap space if they move Crow. LOTS of attractive UFAs next summer.... |

so here we go
Matinee game: they usually are still asleep for these start times
in phylly: where they never win; usually lucky to score
flyers are 4-0-1 in last 5 and scored 3 or more in all 5
playing poorly having lost 6 strt
all adds up to another "entertaining" afternoon
hawks will find away to lose 4-2 flyers - bogiedoc
sadly this game went completely as expected
1. Matinee game: a loss
2. In phylly: a loss and a shut out to boot
3. Flyers got 4 as predicted but our beloved played catch with elliot
4. 0-6-1
Thanksgiving playoff elminiation is on track..
unforced error beat them again
no traffic with few 2nd chances
craw kept this from being a 5 or 6 to zip..
well done with no surprises...

Kane, Toews, Keith, Jokiharju, and Cat....everyone else SHOULD be actively shopped. It’s painful to watch this team. - EnzoD
It will be even more painful without Crawford |

So happy I gave up my season tix... to be financially committed to this dumpster fire would be insult to injury.
The in-season dismissal of Q shows no real strategic vision or execution from the front office. If a five-game losing streak was enough for them to pull the trigger - then they were already dissatisfied enough to have more appropriately made the decision during the off season. This would have been better optics in terms of respect shown to Q and it would have allowed an entire preseason for Colliton to assess and implement his changes for the team. I don’t suggest that things would be better in terms of where this team is in the standings, because the roster is just plain bad. However, the way McD and Stan handled this transition is another indication that neither should be in their respective positions with this team.

I would trade Kane at this point this team is going nowhere this year or next year or for that matter the year after.
Why should this team continue to struggle with cap space , a group of over the age core players , no support from any of the forwards, the defense other then JOHKI, everyone else is awful. Goaltending move Crawford as well.
Get cap space , picks , and high end prospects. But first Stan needs to be fired immediately Monday morning, Its crystal clear he was the main problem with his inability to manage contracts, players and specific team needs.

On the Hawks’ web site:
Chicago Blackhawks team physician Dr. Michael Terry today released the following medical update:
Forward Brandon Saad will not play in today's game at Philadelphia (right arm).
You’d think Foley and Olczyk would say something (but maybe I missed it). - StLBravesFan

You will not replace Kane’s production with any trade. Quantity does NOT equal quality.

#88 played almost 25 minutes and the entire pp's and got rewarded with a -3.
17 games in and they have held a team under 3 goals ONLY 4 (frank)'N TIMES...
2 in the league in GA = 64 and 31 in goal diff = -15
this is going to be a very long miserable season... |

Yeah but honestly who cares how good he is now, or next season, or even 2 years from now. We need pieces for the future, for when we’ll be able to contend again. Kane is our best asset and can fetch us a decent return with potential first round picks and/or top end prospects. Those pieces will be ready 3-5 years from now, and by then Kane will be in his mid 30s and declining. I say we pull the trigger and trade everyone, including Kane and Toews if possible. |

Where long past the point of production. Kane eats up 10.5 million and he would bring a huge reward with picks and prospects along with cap relief.
Their is no point holding onto him or anyone since you could pretty much write this season off. Their are to many pieces needed to address and add. Kane age is or will become a factor , so why then continue to pay not only him but toews, Keith, Seabrook who are all old and not going to be the future of this team. |

Also by trading Kane now just imagine how bad we’d become and how many losses we would be able to rack up. The more losses the better. |

In the long run, what is happening now makes everything easier. Team has to be re-built and tanking like they are only points the direction they need to go. Its obvious now the window is closed. Time to start asking these guys for a list of teams they would waive for. And JC will need three years before they can really evaluate what he can do. |

Kempny Blows. Winning cures all, but if the Caps hadn’t won the cup, I think Caps fans would be zeroing in on several Kempny miscues that cost them quite a few goals against. - Ogilthorpe2

Well said! I couldn't agree anymore with you , this dumpster fire has been burning for the past 3 years and nothing has been done coreectly to address this raging pile of garbage. Coach Q should have been let go either the year they lost to st louis in the playoffs or the following year. To not fire stan when it is crystal clear GOD couldnt turn this team around or win with it speaks volume asmto how incompetent the front office is. |
