Canucks have also been bleeding goals more since then. I think one or the other is needed.
I'd like to trade Sutter to the NYR for Vlad Nemestikov. - manvanfan
Stars seem to be struggling. Spezza and a 2nd? Then they would have a little more cap space to add at the deadline. Though, I’m not so sure Sutts would be an upgrade |

Canucks have added 7 relatively new players, since TDL, all at forward, the Comets have also reshuffled the players in that system.
All in all, whether we continue winning or not, it is just nice to see, change has arrived. - Reubenkincade
Not disagreeing but change for the sake of change isn’t progress. |

Hmm, Markstrom vs Buffalo or Halak vs Toronto? Neither sounds like a good option... |

Up to the Vegas game where he was injuried. 5-4
5-2-1 including the Vegas game.

6-6 before Sutter was injuried.
4-0-1 Since Sutter including the game Sutter was injuried. - manvanfan
Sutter is the problem.... I would've guessed the other overpaid bottom 6 center.
Now do beagle?
Edit
Should have read ahead
I guess that means beagle>sutter
I never would have guessed. |

Goals for and against so far this year. Pretty even split, 25 goals their first eight games then 24 their next eight games....and then of course the outlier against the Bruins. |

But I think they see themselves as a contender, and are not quite living up to that yet. And I did note that Sutts probably wasn’t an upgrade, which was based on how Spez has played thus far. Still, I want that pick |

I always repeat I like Edler because of my known Swedish connection but the sooner we can get away from the past the better IMO.
I think he is a fine defensive type Dman. His offence makes me cringe.
I would like to try something different and move on from the past. |

Last year through 17 games they had 43 goals for and 46 goals against, just as a comparison. The Pettersson factor has the GF up but the GA was better up to this point last year.

Aside from the twins . Moving Burrows Hansen Bieksa for really no one at the time have all turned out to be positivies.
Even bringing back trash has got us Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes.
When the coach walking out the door who was not upset calls the team garbage , then there is a good chance it is garbage. |

Hearing #NHLBruins and #LetsGoOilers having some trade talks again. At this point exploratory and I'd imagine revisiting some prior scenarios. This makes sense considering EDM Senior VP, Hockey Op's Craig MacTavish was scouting B's vs #Canucks Thursday |

Id just like to see them used less. Still good players but they need to play there position. Sutter 18 minutes a game is a black hole on offence. Bo and Ep need to play against other top lines and better them. Sutter fine to shutdown a bit but not the entire game. Edler the same, needs to play 20 minutes a night and thats it. |

Several of their moves have ended up being lateral. Sutter hasn’t done anything Bonino couldn’t have. Is Sutter a better player? Probably, but he cost more ($), and he cost more(picks). The team would have likely been just as bad, and gotten the same pick and an additional one.
Every team has a Lind, but it often takes a half dozen Linds to find an Aho.
So my point is just making changes because you want to see something different doesn’t always make things better. |

I could see a Puljujarvi/Benning for Carlo/Donato trade making some sense for both sides. |

Looking into my magic 8 ball I see Tanev Guddy and Stecher still here next year . I also see Hutton Hughes and OJ playing here next year so the 6 million dollar question is where does Edler fit in?
