Agree about the Skinner part. Gotta think that Bott’s has talked with his agent by now. He can’t fit in Tonto cap-wise and something’s building here.. where else would he want to be ? - Pairo11
Some "insider" was on the instigators Friday. I think it was Dreger. He said the 2 sides have probably at least had one casual conversation...just trying to find out if he's even interested in being here long term. it's probably going to come down to, does he want max $$$ or does he see the potential to his stats being jacks winger for the next 7-8 years? There's only so many teams that can afford him and then only so many of those that have a center of Jacks caliber. This team isnt there yet, but they do want a cup, and he could be a part of that and get paid well, just may be not quite as much as say, Arizona could pay him. But what the fk is he going to do on the Coyotes?

Big Surprise Benji can't catch the ball. Dumb play by Jones but it works out for the bills... |

Matt Barkley is like a puppy. All the receivers are asking, "Can we keep him?" |

Skinner needs to get done. Can't let him walk or trade for futures.
I'm ready to extend Barkley too. |

I'd play Barkley at least 2 more games even with a healthy Allen. Allen learned what not to do, now he can learn what to do. |

Don't love the price tag but there has to be a point when you recognize your core pieces going forward.
You need difference makers to win the Stanley cup. |

I think 8x8 is the highest they should go. He is definitely the best winger we’ve had since Vanek in his prime. |

Draisaitl's contract hurts the sabres here. Assuming he keeps any sort of 40 goal pace, he will have been instrumental in leading the team to their best finish in quite a while.
He's got all the leverage as well, the more pending ufa's re-up, the more desirable he is for desperate teams on July 1. He turned down a trade to LA and approved one to BUF, his chief concern is obviously a good fit and even better contract.
I'd pay him the high amount and accept the fall out from it. If you're going to spend around 9 mil on a winger and still try to address the other holes on this team, you're going to have to move some bodies out. |

I agree that the Sabres need to sign Skinner,
however they don't need to do it right now.
Both sides have said they prefer to wait until much later in the season...
probably to enable an 8 year deal.
He is on pace to score 56 goals...
That puts the advantage on Skinner's side for any negotiations right now.
By waiting, one would expect his pace to slow down and therefore reduce the advantage he now enjoys.
I have no problem waiting, especially if both sides have that understanding that they both want to wait. |

I wouldn't expect to see him remain on this pace... Be good and bad if he did though. |

What in the name Jiminy Crickets did the Bills do today?
I missed all but the 4th quarter, game was virtually over by then.
The in-game stats showed Barkley played efficiently, and from what I saw in the 4th, the running game did well.
What am I missing? |

Nothing, the Jets were horrendous and had single digit yards until late in the 2nd half. The Bills defense was swarming all day.
Edit: The Jets first 4 drives went for 5 total yards. |
