You know it’s coming, but you can’t stop it. Ovechkin does the same thing. Predictable but unstoppable
- ProvBrewin

You don't allow that pass. The end. All 4 Leafs were within a stick length of that seam pass. Just horrendous coverage.

Andersen should have played tonight and Sparks should have played against New Jersey.

Toadaso.

Making sure he got 2 pts at home with a rested team?

So much wrong here.

Kincaid is Devils starter.

Get the win at home in the first game.

No goalie was changing the outcome last night. It's not like the leafs played well and the goalie poop the bed on 5 goals. The leafs sucked last night and sparks had no chance on 4 of them. #5 was brutal, but the game was long since over by then.

Why are so many having such a hard time with this? Are the Leafs guaranteed they win vs Jersey if Sparks starts, or the win against the Bruins if Andersen starts? They scored 1 fricken goal...so I guess Anders0n and a shut out was a sure thing. Or Andersen scores a couple...this ain't that difficult to understand.

It's not like it was TB on Friday; they could've won with Sparks at home. Throw him in the lion's den with a tired team behind him? Andersen might've stolen a game for them, or kept it 0-0 into the 3rd.

Why ruin your starter by throwing him to the lions den as you put it with a gird team in front of him.

How on earth would Freddy have kept it 0-0 or stolen the game? Would he have scored? Could he have stopped the Bruins from making seam passes and tapping in back door?

The Bruins scored 4 goals off seam passes. Why do people think that a differnt goalie change that game.

They scored 1 goal late in the game, how does goali affect that.

Leafs are in great shape. So much negativity after 1 loss in a back-to-back game against a really good opponent.

Not giving credit to one of the best lines in hockey is surprising. Every NHL team facing the Bruins has the same game plan...stop that line - but few can do it.
Those passes are the same passes Marner makes.
It's pointless rehashing what happened last night with should haves. Bruins were better than the Leafs last night. It happens.

We both know that teams play different depending on who's behind them. He was shaky, his rebound control was bad.

That makes the team collapse in front, take less chances, which kills any comeback opportunity.

Crazy isn't it? Like the Leafs will win every game. Bunch of unrealistic homer "Vinnie from Woodbridge" fan boy comments.

Let's see if you shoot of your big trap when their full team is back including Matthews, Nylander and the starting goalie, you have plenty to worry about when your 1 line dries up because that's your whole team, your other 3 lines SUCK, douchebag troll!

Who's taking marleau? He has a ntc, so he has to want to leave

Why are we trading zaitsev when our defense when that's where we need help

How thr (frank) did we get m thkuck?

Why is marincin still playing?

How's that for wtf. Good enough?

He may waive imo if the Leafs have a talk with him. A lot of teams will want him. His actual $ is just over a million but his cap hit is over 6. The Coyotees will be foaming at the mouth.

We moved Phaneuf and Clarkson without retaining. We can move Marleau.

And Marleau has a ntc. He isn't going anywhere.

Zaitsev also has a ntc - the salary and length of contract.

Suggesting the Leafs improve the roster is a great idea, but let's try to stay within the realm of possibility.

Maybe you can be realistic as well. Both Marleau and Zaitsev are much easier contracts to move than Phaneuf or Clarkson.

Exactly. Leafs had one of those passes and scored. Bruins had like 9 and scored 4. That's how you score in today's nhl. That or elite shooters have clear shot from the home plate area. The leafs didn't get a clear shot from there and only had 1 of those passes, they scored once. Most of their shots were long range floaters. No chance of going in. No traffic to screen or get defections. Too easy for their goalie despite the shot totals.

Call me on July 2nd, 2019.

Until then, he's not going anywhere. Coyotes have no interest (or ability) to pay his July 1st bonus next year.

I meant they'd love him after the Leafs pay that bonus. He becomes very attractive after that. Only 1.15 million in salary with a 6.3 million cap hit.

Again, I heard this same song and dance about Phaneuf and Clarkson.

They controlled the bulk of the play for the first, didn't hurt them then did it? The goals that were scored last night were not the fault of sparks, save for the 5th one. Goaltending didn't lose the game last night, and goaltending didn't steal the game. The Bruins made more skilled plays and converted on them.
