It would be brutal. Imagine playing a double OT on Saturday night, then having to travel and play on Sunday. - BiggE
Then win in regulation. Same rules for all teams. |

The NHL is not going to go to continuous OT in the regular season for obvious reasons. It's crazy to suggest it.

Don't basketball players, who play a much higher % of the game than hockey players, have similar schedules and season lengths (albeit with less physical punishment)? They have continuous OT. |

Completely different. What are the odds of a basketball remaining tied and for how long versus a hockey game where many periods see a goal not scored?

It’s easier and less frowned upon to rest a key player or 2 in the NBA on B2B’s |

Please, if a basketball player gets a paper cut they are out for 3-5 days. Lets not compare physicality of basketball to hockey. Basketball players arent getting smash into wooden boards every couple mins not to mention taking hits at 25 mph |

This. The travel would be a nightmare as well. You play a game, first of a back to back in Philly, that starts at 7pm. Game goes deep into double OT and doesn’t end til near midnight. The next night the Flyers are in Carolina. By the time they get to the airport, it’s 2am and the plane lands at 3:30am. At best, they are in their hotel rooms at 4-4:15am and have less than 15 hours til game time. Plus key guys like G, Coots and Provy all just played 30-40 minutes the night before. It’s insane |

Or getting hit with rock hard pieces of frozen rubber traveling up to 100 mph or more. |

That's true but that's not going to change OT.

According to Leafs fans, Ghost wouldn't even see powerplay time if he was on the Leafs.

The 3 on 3 overtime’s have been a nice change and exciting to watch. That being said, shootouts suck! It’s a TEAM game, not a skills competition. |

While I do think Shootouts are fun to watch, I do agree that it is not the way to end a team sport.

They are just jealous. He is a little off his game, but he will find it. I hope Ghost scores it up on the Leafs this season. He was better than anyone they have last year. |

I doubt you'd have more than a half dozen games per season extending past 15 minutes of 3v3. No games would be going 2 hours past regulation. |

Leafs fans: "Our players all suck and are overrated."
Leafs fans when discussing trading their players: "Our players are all better than Wayne Gretzky and Bobby Orr." |

Eagles run the ball about as well as the Flyers kill penalties - BiggE
The offense is a far..far cry from last year. It starts with the coaching. Their doing all this RPO crap constantly. Remember last year when Carson would get them up to the line and he’d constantly be changing plays based on the D? Not anymore, that is gone.
It also sure would help to have a competent running back. I can’t believe they didn’t get one at the deadline. Their backfield is straight trash.
Man it would be something if they lost this game. This cowboys team is bad. But mediocre teams lose to bad ones all the time. |
