Why do you think that? Do you think the staff wants him to shut away from physical play?

At this point anything is possible. We constantly hear mixed messages from the GM and coach. I'm not sure I ever remember a GM and his coach on completely different pages like these two. It's downright strange.

I took some brave decisions last week (re-adding players after injuries or cold streaks, new 1st/2nd/PP liners, ...) and somehow outscored the whole(!) league this week with 641(-507.50).

Nicely done. I’m second guessing my lineup a lot this week.

Thanks buddy. I heard Aussie will ice the same lineup again this week...

If you want my opinion on some players, let me know.

I try to pay attention to trends and want to have a good balance of four game players, but that can also work to my detriment if they run cold.

Right now I'm torn between Palmieri(4 games) and Kucherov(3 games). I've been burned a bit by selecting Tampa players, but he seems to be trending upward.

Haha, this is actually a point i'm also thinking about, especially as both have basically a 1/2 game less (the other 1/2 vs. us )... Kuch, a known world-class RW, has a strongly uptrending Stamkos on his side (+J.T. Miller), while Palimeri, surly being1&1/2 leagues below Kuch, got dropped to the 2nd line (with Johansson and Seney) has less support cast and scores big just every few games... i think both are better than Silfverberg, but there is always Meier for 0,894m... (Sharks have 3 home games, though 2 of them tough).

Meir has been trending down. I had him for a moment, but I've toggled him in and out. I don't feel great about this week's lineup lol

Interesting. I thought about doing that trying to average points per game, weekly trends and value vs. points.

Yeah I am kinda utilizing points per game x games played as my main threshold.

I never focused on matchups or trends really.

It has been 8 games since the Penguins scored an even-strength goal without one of Evgeni Malkin or Sidney Crosby on the ice.

^ yikes... lets hope that AZ game didnt make GMJR all warm and fuzzy.

You don’t think matchups make a difference? Teams that allow less or more shots, or goals allowed?

They do but I think it is minimal.

For instance, the Crosbys and MacKinnons are always going to face the other teams best players so game to game the competition is of very similar quality.

Additionally bad teams go on streaks where they play well. Prime example is DET right now. They suck but they won 3 in a row.

Makes sense. I’m getting better at selecting, but I’m definitely overthinking stuff like that.

The writer on the Hawks blog wants to dump Kunitz. Would anyone be interested on a waiver pick up?

Yes. He’s still an upgrade on the 4th line from what we have now.

I feel like that would be a mistake unless we can rid of Cullen. Honestly would not like to take on anymore aging has beens. I think we have enough of that.

Agreed. It would be a mistake. Could you imagine how badly our 4th line would get dominated with Cullen and Kunitz plodding around? Yikes.

You can't go back.... Every time this team tries to relive past glory it blows up in their faces.

Kunitz still has wheels and plays a physical game. He can still keep up. Cullen can't.
