Kunitz still has wheels and plays a physical game. He can still keep up. Cullen can't.

I can't say I've watched any Hawks games, but since Cullen isn't going anywhere I don't think it's smart at this point to have two guys the coach can't/won't scratch. JMO.

Yeah but just taking on another old man contract without other moves is a bad idea. I believe the initial thought here was waiver pickup which we shouldn't do. And I'd like some different faces to be honest. Like Ruth was saying it's getting stale

The question wasn't whether or not anyone thought another move would be better. It was simply interesting Kuntiz coming back. Are there better moves JR could make? Sure

Someone fill me in please:

If LeVeon Bell does not report to the Steelers by 4Pm today, he is ineligible to play for the remainder of the season, correct?

The Atlantic and Central are strangely the best divisions in hockey right now. The Metro? I don't know if they're the worst or weirdest division.

You don't often see teams with negative goal differentials as the leaders of a division.

{HBSL's} Plante is the best division in hockey right now.

Fixed. And in real hockey its like every year: Over the summer we talk about trades and teams like everything is set in stone, but there are things and trends noone would have ever imagined. And that's part of the reason why its the coolest sport on earth.

Ha. I was concerned about my choices and for good reason. Terrible start to last night. I had Kane, Debrincat and Jokharju(sp?) then took them out. Big mistake.

I'm not second guessing myself next time.

Don't worry, noone could foresee that 8 teams score max. 2 goals in regulation, so the influence of Monday could be pretty low (and actually in your favor ). And the problem with second guessing is indeed that those scratched players always remain a part of your press box roster. And isn't it always funny that you have a three-four good combinations in mind trying to get in but they don't fit because of a few ten thousand dollars?

After facing now -which i now know- 6 times consistent 5xx scorers, with two painful loses (first due inexperence and second due injuries), i'm now facing a die hard Leafs&Rangers fan, which arose the interesting question: Should i go max out like before, or try to match his more dangerous ones, and -a little afraid of the California tour Leafs have and Rags homestand- i indeed matched three players just out of that reason.

One thing I'm looking at now that I really didn't pay attention to before is +/-. While it's an irrelevant hockey stat, it's very relevant in fantasy hockey. It's not a sole reason for picking a player, but when I'm torn between two similar players at similar price-ranges, it's a good deciding factor in the hopes that even if they don't score any points in a game there's a better chance they still walk away with something based on that likelihood.

I never understood why people always call it "irrelevant". I understand that its old school and not in vogue, and with technology nowadays there are certainly better ways to calculate and see a players impact on his team, but a consistent plus player on a bad team or a minus one on a worse still holds a lot of information in it - and be it just for our fantasy league. Its like with stock market, where every one wants to create (and sell) his own indicators because the old ones are thought not advanced enough, but actually they're still pretty informative either.

The writer on the Hawks blog wants to dump Kunitz. Would anyone be interested on a waiver pick up?
- Barnaby36

Nah. Not now. At the beginning of the season, or offseason before Cullen’s signing yeah I would have rather had Kunitz in the fourth line but Cullen sucks balls this year and sticking Kunitz on a line with him isn’t gonna do anything. They need to scratch Cullen and get him off the ice.

So Trash Can's suspension was reduced to 14 games so he's eligible to come back for their next game...

Yeah, maybe a bit, but this is the error I make focusing on their competition, but I’m hoping it will pay off. They play four games.
