I hate that this league is still so unwilling to call obstructions and interference.

I like how the Avs player just had a few seconds of alone time with Talbot....that’s gonna help

Coach first, then the roster. Do it in tandem.

Do we trust in Chia for the roster or does a new guy come in? Because I don’t know if I trust him to get it back on track

If I’m a leader on this team I’m having a fit in the locker room right now

No, but since he's out of cap room to abuse, his biggest shortcoming literally isn't an option. One less thing to worry about.

Yeah, their passing and positioning was completely off. It's like their brains were fried. I never understood this dialogue of "oh, it's the first game back after a roadtrip- you know what that means". Since I started watching more hockey, I don't think I've heard this narrative from any other team's commentators.

It’s not called home ice disadvantage I expected them to come out flying at home after a unsuccessful road trip knowing just how important the rest of November is as far as positioning in the standings....nope let’s just do more of the same instead....I just want to see how they come out for the 2nd to see if anything is there

Yeah and if not, might as well go do other things. I love hockey, but what they were playing wasn't hockey.

What's really irritating is our coach's empty platitudes about how young players need to "play the right way" and earn the prime time chances, but Lucic and Strome continue to be rolled out on the PP despite having 1G and 2A between them in the last 15 games. And Garrison is NOT the answer to any question other than who to send down next.

The players aren't playing hard enough.

The coaches aren't good enough.

The roster isn't skilled enough.

A team can usually overcome one of these things and sometimes even two, but three? That's where the Oilers are now. What simple move can possibly fix two of these things in one fell swoop? Change the coach. It's a fresh slate for the players that'll have to work harder to make an impression on the new staff and gives us a chance at hiring a better-than-mediocre coach. It's clear to me that the players won't go to war for Todd or his ideas; that's enough for me to make a change.

Y'all ripped on me when I said I don't believe that their winning record was sustainable.

I don't like being right.

Find me a single instance where either myself or RatedR did anything of the sort. You won't because we didn't.

Can’t really add to what you said at all....the easiest solution is to change the coach and see what happens....it’s certainly not going to make things any worse
