The problem is anyone with hockey chops will not work for McDonut as he is a control freak. Dudley didn't bail he left the cesspool that McDonut created. The fish rots from the head down! - ElkgroveMcD
That's exactly what happened with Dudley. |

The NBCSN team had a good point - most of DBC's points last year were on lower lines against weaker D. Maybe this will be the spark he needs to get out of his slight slump. - pdx2ord
1+3=4 points in 10 games.
That ain’t slight. |

Nick Schmaltz - where offensive zone possession goes to die. - Return of the Roar
they just pushed him and he gave up the puck . . . sigh
and I don't think he handles Kane's passes very well
I'd rather have DBC up on the line because he doesn't defer as much as Schmaltz does to the vets

getting myself caught up- great writing Justin
Hard to argue with the lineup & waiting on Murphy to view what the Hawks have or don’t have. Talent!
I would move on from Kunitz and Kruger but I doubt Bowman’s ego would allow.
I don’t see how Kruger fits into this rebuild- even though I admire him as a person. He’s not a Difference maker & the PL is already a train wreck.
I see upside to Hayden so I wouldn’t move him & I would explore a Smaltz for Nylander trade-
After much thought the best way to move Seabs is with Keith- salary retained.
Kills me to see two of my all time Hawks traded but it goes with the territory-
I would also look to trade Crawford to a team like the Blues - - Colbyboy
Those moves will really help the Hawks............................get their GAA to 6.0+ !! |

Forward in front of net + accurate point shot equals goal.
Hmmm...are they on to something?

When was the last time we had the lead to play with. It's seems like forever we have been chasing the game. Finally hopefully some good vibes going thru that bench. Keep the pedal down and keep it going. Go Hawks |

Rocky owns this team so the buck ultimately stops with him . He has 2 eyes and watched , like us fans and have seen the decline In this team over the past 3 years . We've also seen Keith, Seabrook, and toews all regress after getting their payday.
I'm sure Rocky is not oblivious to talent , since hockey has been a huge part of his entire life as well as first hand knowledge of a poor front office and a declining front office. So yeah he rakes in millions of dollars a year and his 2 priorities are bottom line results financially and winning which produces his financial bottom line.
Until he is willing to address the elephant in the room and fix it he is no better than Stan or MC D for allowing this to get out of hand. - Taylorst1
Just curious if you followed the Hawks when Rocky's dad, Dollar Bill, was alive?? |

A result in the switch to man-to-man vs. zone? Which style is played by most junior/AHL teams? Maybe that's why they always looked so uncoordinated when trying to learn the zone style. |

Top line, minus 19 getting the goal, I don't like it. Wayyyy too much passing between the three, not enough shooting. I like the 2nd line. Third line seems meh. Good chances but just as many turnovers, especially by Adb. 4th line is good, just wish Hayden didn't fall all the damn time. Good God. Top pair good, Gus is stepping up his game and Joki is getting out muscled. Rutta ... still don't like him. Ward is playing big. Couple great stops, especially at the end. |

I was shocked when I saw 56 on the back of the white jersey that rubbed a guy off of the puck along the boards. I'm giving JC credit for that because it never happened until he got behind the bench. |

He's poking the puck cleanly and hitting, I like this version of Gus. JC must be in his ear, but I think any other coach would have pulled him out after all of his mistakes. He must be taking his time with Gus. |

Schmaltz and Kane shouldn't play on the same line. Kane needs someone who can dig out loose pucks, or win a corner. thats not lil Nicky. And together they're a liability defensively.
