Who's his center? Genuine question
- jcragcrumple

Idk if it’s still true,
but earlier in the year it was:

If healthy, Josh Allen will start vs. Jaguars.

Smith would be my first call-up

So then you would re-sign Pommer, Larsson and Girgs?

We'd roll into next year with the exact same forward lineup, most likely unless j botts pulls a rabbit out of his hat with an Okposo trade

- jcragcrumple

I wouldn’t make a decision just yet
The biggest problem with our forwards right now is that we haven’t gotten much secondary scoring
If that changes...
then we can knock down the “4th line” to actually playing 4th line minutes

But if our 4th line next year was
Girgensons-Larsson-Pominville
I wouldn’t hate it

If any one of those guys in particular did struggle, then u still have to option to replace them with a call up

Right now,
my biggest issue is that Berglund & Sobatka haven’t done much when in the top9
Especially not offensively
And they’re slower, so they don’t even fit into the style of play we want
If either (or both) were on line4, then ok

But now I’ve got 5 guys i think I’d prefer to be on line4 next year & don’t want any of them in the top9

Gotta see how the rest of this season plays out though
Maybe the StL guys just need to find their groove?
Maybe Larsson & Girgs drop off?
I don’t have any strong opinion yet on what i wanna see next year’s lineup lol like

All three?
Idk about that

Our “4th line” has actually been playing pretty well this year

O’Regan seems like an AHL guy to me
Maybe he can be called up here & there,
but idk that he’s an NHLer

Malone is hurt more than Bogo,
so we just can’t count on him at all

I’ve heard Asplund has been playing well,
but only has 1 point so far
*early returns say he’s on the list of guys that Sbroads will continue to bash 😂😂😂

My point is that it’s tough to cycle in these “maybes” when there’s guys here that are currently performing at a decent level

- jdfitz77

A. I don’t even get it.
B. The bashing is of your opinion that he could step in and take Berglund or Sobotka’s spot, (Which you will probably walk back) not realizing he hasn’t done a single thing yet in Rochester

I knew what you meant and I was agreeing with you.

The Bills need Allen to be more like Aaron Rodgers and less like Tyrod.

Rodgers is very athletic but he uses his arm 95% of the time.

- Stripes77

Allen has more talent than 80% of the QBs in the league
Maybe more

It’s all gonna come down to how much he can develop mentally

And that’s gonna take AT LEAST another year after this to get an idea on
Possibly longer to know for sure

Strange how healthy they've been this year. At some point, the depth is going to be tested.

When Eichel missed a period, things got ugly fast.

Malone played 73 of a possible 76 regular season games last year in his rookie season, second only to sahir gill's 74...

he had an unfortunate injury at camp...don't get the bogo reference

Except we have gotten good secondary scoring the last 5-6 games.

Sheary has 6 goals
Sobotka 3 goals
Reinhart has had a good two games
Okposo made the play on our 1st goal.

Last two games we’ve gotten 5 goals from the other 3 lines

Id go with Nylander just to see what you've really got with him. He's done well relative to his U-21 counterparts in the AHL. I think he's 3rd in primary points among those guys.

Edit: I lied, 11th. Bust.

Not to mention the defense has what? 7 goals already?

It took until mid December for a defensemen to score a goal last season

Right, but If that's your 4th line next year, then we're talking about having pretty much the same forward group. Seems like a mistake imo

I’ve never said that though
You apparently have no clue how to actually interpret just about anything i say
Bc u always restate it incorrectly

When i say stuff like,
I’d like to see Asplund, Nylander, Bailey, Smith, etc etc etc
That isn’t saying i expect them to step in & be the NHL player that some of these Vets are

It actually means...
that I’m just over these Vets who aren’t producing in the roles we need them to on the score sheet
Not to mention that neither of the StL guys has filled the “defensive center” role either
They’re both just average players that are ok, but they don’t do anything to move this team in the right direction
WHEREAS...
some of the kids MIGHT be able to
Maybe not right away, but at some point

Seriously...
draw up a lineup with forwards next year as YOU would do it
Pretty sure u won’t have Berglund or Sobatka in the top9
Not unless u feel we are stuck with them & have no choice

The problem is, there aren't roster spots available elsewhere. Assuming they sign Skinner, you have

Skinner-Eichel-Reinhart
Sheary-Mitts-Okposo
Berglund-Sobotka-Erod (RFA)
Larsson-Girgs-Pominville

All signed for next year

So there's no movement on the roster for a team that is 19th in scoring. Allowing at least 2 of the 3 on the bottom line to walk would allow for Berglund, Okposo and even Sheary to comfortably slide down the depth chart, and you could bring in some more top-6 wing talent to really give the roster some scoring punch. Re-signing 28, 22 and 29 fuses the line-up into place

If you remove the age filter, the best estimated p1/60 at 5v5 on Rochester is Danny O'Regan.

If we're going by who deserves/is most likely to generate any impact short term, It should probably be him that gets the call.

He also played banged up
Is hurt again this year
And was hurt in college 2 of his 4 seasons

So that’s 3 of the past 5 years he’s dealt with injuries

I like the player
Just don’t know that he can stay healthy

2 games is a pretty damn small sample size

Secondary scoring has been far from consistent throughout this season

Hopefully... that’s changing now
I’m not convinced yet
