Cizikas, Ho-Sang and Pulock for Nylander?
- PatC80

You sure you want the potential headache in Ho-Sang? That would be a pretty risky move unless you are 100% certain that Babs could fix him on a maturity level

Babs did wonders for Kadri. Can only assume the same would happen

Let him sit and rot. 1 yr of sitting he will finally decide, hmmmm, I should be playing more than NHL 18 on the xbox and pick up hockey in a beer league.

RIP Stan. You were the man

Whatever the case, they need a d that can contribute now. This is their window, they don't want a prospect, but they probably don't want an old guy either unless it's a year one-off with picks coming back, then re-tool the d in the summer.

That's why he does so well against the Leafs, just stand beside the net, no one will bother you.

ill forward this to Babcock, he should look into this

Make sure you tell him it's especially true in a one-on-three scenario.

Let's not forget that there are more photos of Bigfoot than there are of Nylander going into a corner during the playoffs!

Most takeaways on Leafs - Kapanen, Marner, Brown, Nylander

The Leafs window is closing fast... Before you know it, Matthews and Marner will be 23.

Leafs fans are delusional. Won't pay the kid but also won't take anything less than a Erik Karlsson equivalent via trade.
- ClaudeFather

Gawd NO, I do not want Karlson on the Leafs. Way overrated. Might as well keep Gardner for half price.

Tell him he'll be shipped to the "wilderness" for years, without any chance of winning, ever.
No, seriously, is this guy nuts asking for 8 million as RFA?

Getting prospects would be a good thing.. I think their "window" will be open for a while, with or without Nylander... Admittedly, it would be better with him here.

Maybe?

Nylander can ask for whatever he wants.. My issue is, does he really, honestly believe that he is worth that much, when he is our 4th or 5th best forward?

Not a lot of players that are the 4th or 5th best on their team make $8M per season.

Nylander is surplus and needs to be used to get a #1 RHD. The name of that player can be different as long as the surplus is used to fill the position of need.

If Dubas moves Nylander for less than what we need or overpays him and costs the Leafs other players while not addressing the need for a #1 RHD, then that would be considered a failure.

The window is open now, and will be for some time, but with 2 pretty good RD already in development, it makes sense to go for a guy that can help this year. Gardner is gone after this season as well, so for me, it would be better to get a guy that's ready today. Having said that, if it's a blue chip they can't say no to I get it, but...

Liljegren is a RHD, Sandin is an LHD.

We need more RHD right now. Prospect or not.
