You add JVR and Raffl to that forward lineup and all of the sudden they start to look very deep. |

Excited to watch this game. Really love seeing Barkov play. I think he is still underrated around the league, and is not really that far away from McDavid, McKinnon elite level of young player.
The panthers first two lines are dangerous and they have guys on all 4 lines that can score. Flyers team D will need a good effort tonight if they are going to win.
Elliot’s play has been great since coming in and holding down the fort 2 games ago. Imo he was the 1st star in the last two games.
Seeing G reach all these milestones this season has been fun. I so hope they can win a Cup while G is on the team. |

Agreed, this will be their toughest test since returning from the coast. The Panthers are a completely different team with Luongo in net. Funny, kinda seems that playing in front of goalie you have confidence in can do wonders for a team. It's the same with the Flyers. Elliott comes out makes a few big saves early and the whole team picks it up.
For those who don't think it matters if the team has confidence in the guy in the net, you really need to get a clue. |

I wonder if Weise’s recent strong play will keep Raffl out of the line up when both JvR and Raffl are healthy.
I think coach likes Lehterä at 4c and also likes Laughton better at wing.
When JvR gets back my guess is they leave Weal at 3C and have JvR and Simmonds on his line.
Weise moves down to play with Lehterä and Laughton, NAK goes back down to LV. Raffl may have to wait until Weise cools off to get back in.
I know Weal is not ideal as 3C but I think that’s how Haks is going to roll for now. |

Agree with you about the goalie. Shutting down the Coyotes coming in off the bench to keep it at 4-2 was so huge. One soft goal by Elliott that game would have derailed the comeback. He’s been low key great the last two games.

Barkov is legit. And he was recently voted by his fellow NHL players as the most underrated played in the league. He played very well against us last time. |

IMO Barkov is about as close as being a Jagr clone you can get. The power, the hands (oh the hands) and the shot. McD and McK have such blazing speed that Barkov just will never be put up there with them, but the skill level is right there with them. If he wasn't on Florida he might be talked about more. |

Can't argue with that, I think Barkov and perhaps Scheifele in Winnipeg are the 2 most underrated players in the NHL. Hell, if either played in NY, Toronto, or Montreal, they be the toast of the league.

Raffl is a much better player than Aube-Kubel is.

When is Raffl supposed to come back?
When JVR and Raffl return I would go:
Giroux-Couts-Konecny
Lindblom-Patrick-Voracek
JVR-Laughton-Simmonds
Weise-Lehterä-Raffl

Raffl wont be kept out of the lineup. When JVR and Raffl return, Weal will go back to Cote Suite and NAK will be sent down |

this looks about right....maybe Weal in for Lehtera...but Lehtera is part of that 30th ranked PK.

who is the 3C in this scenario?
Laughton seems to be doing well at wing
Will Raffl play C?
I think Weal is staying in the line up for now |

Idk, Lehterä hasn’t been that bad this year. I think he’s a smarter hockey player than Weal, doesn’t solely have a perimeter game, and most importantly isn’t knocked off the puck easily. |

Laughton or Raffl would play C. Raffl has been used at C before. At the end of the day I think the team grabs a 3 C as a rental near the TDL |
