Listen I am trying my best to stay positive- but its just baffling that they keep giving Smith starts, especially after Rittichs solid performances. Its stupid, why not ride the hot goalie for a bit? reward Rittich for his strong play. Its costing us points and Smith is consistently letting in soft goals, that's why the team is in comeback mode almost every game

I seem to recall the same thing with Chad Johnson and Elliott. Johnson basically saved that season and they just handed the no. 1 spot back to Elliott.

Didn't help that I showed at my kids after school care, happy to find they were hosting the vote in the room next door, then disappointed to be turned away because the station wasn't the home one for my community... after standing in line for a half hour.

2 cranky kids later, no way I was going to be able to get away with standing in another line...

Would have been a "yes" vote on this end too. Financially, I get the tax argument, but with an economy still in the pooper, the jobs and capital investments alone might help to get things jump started here.

It's not so much the yes or no vote as it is the disdain that Ottawa shows for the Canadians who happen to live in Alberta. Over and over and over.
It would have been a nice touch If the federal government had been half as supportive of Calgarians as they are of the rest of Canada.
And the people who were scared into voting no. As if no Olympics will keep residential property taxes from going thru the roof and reduce the highest unemployment rates in Canada and make the maxed out credit cards go away.
Whatever.
At least we have the Flames. For now.

At what price though? Neal was free.

Also think he's still gonna get going.

It would be crazy to see what this team could do with consistently good goaltending and 3 lines clicking.

Let's hope Rittich can keep his consistency

Most goalies develop late and it was first year in the league last year so hopefully he can take the reigns of the number one.
