We're just a mess right now. There's some talent here, but nothing has been clicking/working for two seasons.

Our GM has made some very questionable moves and gives out huge contracts and NMC like they're nothing - it's really tied the Hawks up in a bad way.

Q should never have been fired, IMO.
Should have let the GM go first.

Need a fresh face to try and rebuild.
It is what is needed.
Sadly the main pieces, Keith, Seabrook, Toews the games played are starting to catch up with them (To a lesser exten Toews) They would be tough to move with the current contracts.

Gona be tough for Chicago moving forward to see if they can recover from this.

You and I are in the same boat with Q. Still stings.

I understand there's a need for a shot-in-the arm and a spark, but Q was not the problem. I always respected the fact that he refused to be a 'yes man' and do whatever Bowman (GM) and the front office wanted.

They fired the second most winningest coach and replaced him with Colliton - a guy who has a year of AHL experience and some success in the European league. Not a knock on him, but the Hawks literally put him in the worst position imaginable by firing a fan-favorite coach and moving him into that spot.

I always kind of thought you had to pay your dues as an assistant coach at the NHL level, take your lumps, learn/bond with players, prove you can command a position, etc., before you can jump into the drivers seat; but Bowman feels he's the man going forward. I hope he does well for the Hawks (and his) sake, but I'm just not sure what will happen.

ETS = not very good tacos. Best item on their menu is their waffle fries (treat yourself and add a side of nacho cheese).

Unless it's for something quick, (CoreLife or Chipotle primarily) I don't really go to any chain places to eat. I'd much prefer to go to a locally run place and there are so many to choose from that I hardly go to the same place all that often.

Especially when so many places locally have more of a farm to table type set up. There are SO MANY of these that have popped up here in the WNY area over the past few years. Is that something you're seeing a lot of in GA too?

I just moved back to Buffalo last week. Where i was was 95% chain restaurants. the local run establishments were the busiest ones though.

When I was in Kentucky it was all chain

BUt they have very few local steak houses and the ones they do have that are local are more Russels like.
I worked at one in school and you couldnt walk out under 50 bucks a person

Long Horn is just another garbage cheap steak

I always thought it was interesting that in Florida that there's not really many of the "town" bar type thing. There are some, but not like there are here, that's for sure.

People go out to drink at like Applebees and TGI Fridays. It's weird.
