Besides the Canucks who's surprised you this year so far? LA sucking? St. Louis sucking? Montreal's success? Rangers success? Buffalo being so good? - LeftCoaster
The Habs success for me. Didnt see Domi off to any kind of start like this...
What this team is facing is a poor example though.... - boonerbuck
Fair enough, I guess we'll see how things play out. For the record, I do see some improvements and am happy that it's the young guys who are carrying the team finally.
Hard to believe people would go as far as to dismiss this scheduled and rash of injuries to cling onto their narrative. This team is improving. Canucks did amazing through all of that. - boonerbuck

This post is an example in itself. The Canucks full of injuries actually stepped up the play down the stretch last season... and then start the season strong in spite of the injuries again just to have people say this season is the same as last season? A quarter of the season in....
There is a trend you are overlooking. This team is getting tired but the trend is right there in front of your face. Our young players are improving... previous whipping boys are picking it up. The coach is improving. The Canucks are improving. - boonerbuck
If they are tired now just imagine how tired they will be in a month.
Tired...pdfft what a bunch or horse poop. Maybe instead of team dinners and visits to the mall they should sleep in, get a massage or play some Fortnite.

That's what I see as being majorly different than previous years. It's great to see. Bo has yet to have anything but terrible Jan-Apr stretch though, I hope he brings it this year even if we nosedive I just want to see he can endure a full year. Obviously the key with this young core is keeping them healthy, doesn't seem to be happening yet. Hard to be consistent when you're on and off the IR.

If the Canucks play 500 or better into January, would you like to see them be buyers or sellers at the TDL? Keep in mind they only really have to play .500 puck and they will likely make the playoffs at this point. - neem55

Alrighty then,
The Canucks have 69 GA...worst in the league, now if you look at Pouliot who is averaging 20 minutes a game and has a +2 rating, that is pretty impressive. He does make brain fart errors most games but when compared with Tanev who is playing two extra minutes over Pouliot and is a -8.
Goldobin will be much harder to defend, as he is the most prominent member of the G string group. Playing with Pettersson and either Eriksson or Virtanen he is integral, like the thin string that holds the waist band to the crotch cover. Visually he can be hard to look at in some instances, but when used in the manner in which was meant, well, it can be visually quite nice to fantasize over. - Makita
So you're saying pullout is a 200 foot defender?
He's a plus two and only plays 2 minutes less then tanev because he gets all the easy O zone starts and jumps off the ice as soon as the puck goes back the other way.
