Beagle is needed big time. Rousell has looked better than expected. Schaller has underachieved but to me that was to be expected as he is playing with much weaker players in the bottom 6 here than he was in Boston last year. I think Schaller will get it going as well just needs some support.

The problem with all three (well 2, because Beafle is injured) is that they are being played in the top 6 instead of the bottom 6. Benning spent big money to improve the bottom of the roster and surprise surprise it’s the top of the roster that needs help.

Been keeping an eye on Juolevi, his confidence on the offensive side is coming along nicely but I'm not sure he'll ever be a great defensive player. I know he's only 20, but, are we seeing another Derrick Pouliot???

I think he is smarter. He will make up for his lack of defensiveness by being in the right spot more often than not. Basically we reads the play better than average.

I’ve been a staunch supporter of giving Goldy some rope / opportunity, but after listening to all the Goldy haters in here I’m willing to cave.

I think the Canucks should do what it takes to get Nylander. Nighty would be impressed, two solid duos. Petey & Nysey, Horver and Boes. Goldy can be a third wheel this season and then just let him become a UFA. Baer is the better short and long term player.

Tanev + Virtanen for Nylander

Seems steep I know, but TO gets the upgrade on D for this year and next, and likely an upgrade on the third line with Shotgun at a fraction of what Nylander is going to cost them.

It would kill the Canucks defensive depth on the right side, but it would cement their offense for years to come.
