Sprong has a ridiculous release that you won't see because hes not an NHL player yet. I see him as a long term project, he needs to learn how to play the NHL game and get opportunities to use his shot. Pens don't have the time to incubate him.

While this league has a rich tradition to heavily overpay for UFA's (and be highly disappointed afterwards), i wouldn't make this deal (or only when you bundle rrentz joining the Pens fanbase!), especially as our 1st could be a lottery pick this year as well.

Everyone here is happy for Hagelin. We never had a problem with his game, just the price tag he was about to be awarded, which didn't fit our roster.

well, they may trade away pending UFA's no matter what

but lets also realize that the Rangers have 4 shootout wins, ROW is the first tie breaker when it comes to playoff spots and the Rangers need to start winning in regulation a lot more before the playoffs start to be realistic

Do you mean the Golden Knights that are currently 30th in the league standings?
They had their success by working hard and keeping to their system. Good things to build on, for sure, but without a solid base of top talent it's not sustainable.
There are absolute reasons for the Rangers to sell of a couple more of their players. As much as it will hurt from an emotional standpoint.
We are WELL into this rebuild and it's going quite well. There's no reason to abandon it now.

Trade call hasn’t happened yet. The sense is this one could be quite complicated purely from a financial/salary cap point of view and so, perhaps more than usual, this is by no means a done deal until it’s done with the trade call.
