OK ok makes a bit more sense.

Why are the King's trying to unload payroll/cap hit now all of a sudden?... How's their attendance been this season?

- MattStrat

I dont really think its all of the sudden. Blake hasn't had much time on the job. I think that one of Muzzin / Amart are also gone. Since they have 2 other guys who will likely step up real soon if not now in Clague and Brickley. I think Brickley first and let Clague have a season of AHL. But moving one of those 2 frees up even more cap space. The team just has no flexibility with moves being so high in the cap.

Thomas, JAD, Kupari, and Vilardi are a good group of F prospects.

Klague and Anderson are interesting on the backend.

You think they actually rebuild or try an on the fly kind of quick retool?

I wanted a retool years ago. But they really believe in Clague and as do many other scouts. People think hes top pair potential. Issue is. Can the Kings get lucky and have some of these kids be ready sooner rather than later. Kings dont usually get that lucky. Is Vilardi going to ever be healthy? Hes also not the fastest guy either. I think they are going to hold on for dear life and hope small retooling will be enough. But I think if the season keeps going as it is. I think not only is one of if not both Muzzin / Amart gone. But I think they also likely move Carter. Moving Carter greatly helps with a retooling.

Ultimately I think retooling is rebuilding because I dont think they even entertain the thought of trading Kopi, Doughty or Quick. There is loads of talent to work with to try and get something working. I just hope we dont see more poor asset management.
