$1.6M for a 4th line physical player. I can't really say I've watched him a lot but isn't he a poor mans Ryan Reeves? - Thorny87
No. I'm not going to pretend to be super familiar with him, but I've noticed him. I wouldn't call him a goon, but he definitely brings snarl to his game. Relative to a 4th-line-level-player, he brings a pretty well-rounded game.
Outside of Sheahan, he's a major upgrade to anyone that's been in a 4th line role this or last year... with all due respect to Sprong who isn't a 4th line player. |

I’m curious as to how much we actually need to upgrade the 4th line or if Cullen is just sinking that unit. Poor center play can make an entire unit a non-factor in a way poor wing play doesn’t. I’m really upset they’re not treating Cullen like a 13th forward. |

I'd like to blame Cullen, but the 4th line just isn't very competitive. Individually, Sheahan is good, ZAR is ok, etc..., but collectively they're just not difficult to play against.
Someone like Clifford is an established NHL player. I mean look, there are clearly other options they can target like him, but LA seems to be in a good position to poach at the moment. |

I really don’t feel the need to give up a package of assets for another LD as good as Muzzin is. We need to be targeting RDs. - Victoro311
Agree'd. I'd love the Pens to land a guy llike Brett Pesce from the Canes. 6'4", 24 years old, right shot, not an offensive juggernaut by any means but can skate and move the puck, bonifide top4, hes the new age "defensive defensemen"... think of him as a right handed Doumolin. Signed for just over 4M until 2023-24.
I dont think we have the assets to get him, unless we are moving Guentzel, as he's been rumored as a key piece in a Canes Nylander offer. |

My fear is that when Sid and Brass come back Sully will just go back to his old 4th line of Sheahan-Cullen- anyone. It was awful.
Cullen needs to be the 13th forward. He kills any line he plays...
Today is gonna be rough. We may be looking at Sheahan second line and Cullen third... |

I guess he was peached on, yes. Nothing wrong letting him cool off a little (that sheep and baby .gifs were really annoying), but he should get a - VeryModernMan[second] chance - especially to still competite in HBSL.
You can still set your roster while banned. Trust me I know about bans all to well. |

I know I'm harping on LA, but I wish there was a way to bring in Muzzin and Clifford.
Ok here we go...
TO LA: Maatta, Sprong and a 3rd (2020)
TO PIT: Muzzin and Clifford - Rinosaur
I would argue Maatta and Muzzin are equal players and that based on age Maatta is the better of the two going forward. |
