Yeah that is not the LP I am talking about though. The "country" part is beautiful. Starpoint is the best public school in WNY.

My grandparents are in the newer development on Shawnee, technically it is NT, but Starpoint schools. Just because Wheatfield does not have a post office.

I grew up in East Amherst, live in Clarence now. Any area with a good school district is going to be nuts. My grandparents taxes are 12k on Shawnee Rd. in SP district.

Find me a good school system that the taxes arent high.

SP district is nice, little too far for my taste. Took me almost 40 mins to get to Larkinville on that commute.

also I know their HS system is great is the elementary as good? I assume so but not positive. I know Clarence has been rising up all the lists.

Ive been trying to take the blinders off the Ken Ton School system to my wife cause "I went to Franklin and IM ok" doesn't cut it for me

Trying to figure out the narrative about Girgs and Larsson versus Stamkos and Kucherov? People must not have looked up the actual numbers and just guessed, because it was a lot closer than people are claiming. Stamkos and Kuch had 25 shifts totaling about 22 minutes a piece. Larsson and Girgs each had 20 shifts at 16:13 and 14:48 respectively (Girgs sat 2 for a penalty). Also, Larsson and Girgs had 11 and 10 Dzone starts respectively and Zero Ozone starts. On that same note Mitts, Sheary, Dahlin and Blow-u had 100% Ozone starts with Reinhart and Skinner both at 71% Ozone starts. To say that Girgs and Larsson are not doing their job is kind of asinine. I am in no way a fan of Larsson, but do like Girgs (unfairly judged based on draft position). Could they score more? Sure, but maybe the guys with 100% ozone starts should score a little more too.

On a side note, how many teams have a roster with 12 former 1st rounders and 5 former 2nd rounders? Seems like most teams are more spread out, but I could be wrong.

Clarence is a great school. Also taxes are a little bit better in Clarence because of all the farmland and no police department etc. But again, the drive sucks, there is no "quick" way to Clarence.

That area and Clarence are my favorite places in WNY though. Far enough away but still close enough, 25-35 minutes to anything you need.

amen. My parents lived by star point my brother lives in marthas vineyard
Both feel like its forever to get to and its basically going down a main road. Either way would take me about 40 mins to get to work.

Would feel like a hike to get to the arena

This basically kicked off because Tim Graham posted the stat that those two played 10 out of their 20 shifts against Tampa's top line, and none of those 10 shifts resulted in a goal

Edit: Vogl, not Graham

I hated Wheatfield cause all my friends lived in NB still so long drive to go out and nobody wanted to come out to me.

Clarence I feel at least has transit. Wheatfield for me at least doesn't have the draw. The casino being close was fun cause we could go kill an hour or 2 easy

I could be right or I could be wrong but;

Clarence seems more kid friendly than living in Wheatfield.
To me Wheatfield is more rich city people moved to the sticks once their kids went away....... I may also feel that way cause thats what happened to us

Im in Smallwood area of Amherst. Excellent elementary school and taxes are just a bit higher than what I was paying for my double in North Butflow. Lucky I bought 10 years ago cuz no way I could afford my neighborhood if I was buying now.
I'd love to get a job in semi-ruralTennessee, live dirt cheap, and home-school.

I gotta be honest. I am finding the conversation about whether or not Lockport is, in fact, a cesspool more entertaining than what standard of production Girgensons and Larsson should be held to.

Agreed.

I liked Edinburgh. Has nothing to do with WNY I just wanted to be part of the conversation
