Eh, depends. Are they pressured, is there a change happening etc.

My biggest beef with Risto is his passing, and the unnecessary puck clears that give the puck right back to the opponent.

Watching Dahlin who’s 18, finding guys for outlet passes while under pressure has really shined a light on how underwhelming Ristolainen is in that aspect

A few happened because of breakdowns by teammates. There's also the fact that Ristolainen often plays against an opponent's top forwards."

Pretty much any analyst over the last few years has said that the advanced stats make him look horrible, but the eye test says otherwise and they all don't get it.

Risto was luckily drafted low enough that we dont have to over analyse his play. If he was 2nd overall hed be a scapegoat for sure.

except now the eye test has caught up with those stats. And I think part of the issue was that we had so little talent on the blue line, we didn't know what top pair was supposed to really look like. We do now.
