I get it, it's kind of like Colosso for me.

The first time I went in there(ETS) I turned around and went to Jim's across the street. Got a full sub for the price of 2 small ass tacos.

I miss jim’s at 5am. Food in the Midwest blows. I can’t convince places to cook chicken wings out here. Ask for them super xxxxtra crispy and they hit the table in ten minutes.

Serious question: am I supposed to be impressed that these guys locked down Stamkos and Kucherov for 10 shifts? That's what, 8 minutes total? If every single one was a very long shift it would be 10 minutes?

Stamkos had 22:01TOI.
Kuch had 22:30TOI

So who locked them down for the other 12 minutes? Maybe there's some subtlety to TOI and shift timing that I don't take into account here?

(For the sake of the obvious, 12 minutes is longer than the 8 - 10 minutes that Vogl's tweet trumpeted over Girgs and Larry).

For 8 minutes, they didn't poop the bed. And then they did, but the post cleaned it up for them

Congrats?

Maybe. But my point is there appear to be other guys who shut them down for more time. Why aren't people tweeting about those other guys?

Jack was out there quite a bit against that line. I just can't believe our expectations of those two are so low that we go "wow it's great that they played, and nothing happened." We're celebrating them for not (frank)ing up, as if simply not throwing up on yourself is worthy of adoration

The bar is so low that they're being celebrated for a lucky draw thanks to Mr. Post

If you want cheap, GREAT taco's, look no further than La Divina (2 locations, 1 in Kenmore and 1 in Williamsville). It's like $2.50 per taco and they give you TONS of meat - the most meat of any taco joint in town. Sure, they were busted by immigration - what was that, last year ? But they re-opened and are still awesome. Very authentic !

What's the time-table for Wilson's return ? Asking for myself, as I have no friends.

It's terrific

And that topping bar is amazing. Ghost chile salsa, guac. And their sour cream is well worth the charge. It's so creamy, it's almost like a queso

2-3 tacos is so filling

It's funny to me that you refer to strong defensive play as not throwing up on yourself. 8 of our forwards do that with regularity. At least 6 they'd prefer never entered the dzone. Why do you want to insult the best 2 they have every day?

If Larsson scored on a nice a assist from Girgensons, and they played the entire night against that line, I would say that's a good night. They had 10 shifts against a good line and didn't get scored on thanks to the post.

They did the bare minimum to be considered competent, barely. We need to raise the bar for what is "good"

If Kucherov's shot went in, they still played a good game.

When all they do is take dzone starts against the other team's top guys, I have no idea why you expect offense. There's plenty of guys getting huge ozone starts who aren't producing nearly enough. That's a real problem.

"If Kucherov's shot went in, they still played a good game."

If his shot goes in, that's 2 games this year they blew in the last minute. That's supposedly the role in which they shine.

These guys went from incompetent to barely competent. That's it

It's a 6 on 5 against some of the best in the NHL. We scored two in one night, and our offense is no where close to TB.

Our 4th line is one of the strengths of this team and is making up for one of the biggest deficiencies this team has.

12 games, 2 points, -3 is one of the biggest strengths

And you think if Botterill knew Elie was available, he wouldn't have traded for Sheary. I don't understand the things you value

Until they have a functioning blue line capable of playing even league average defense, 22/28 serve a purpose.

Not a Sheary fan. Only relationship to this conversation is that he's abysmal defensively, one of the reasons we have to use our 4th line in those situations.

And I never said if Elie were available, I wouldn't have trade for Sheary. Skinner, Nylander, Girgs, Olofsson, Smith, and Elie are. The LW situation changed a lot since we trade for Sheary.
