5pts difference is 1 point every 16 games
We’ll survive

You’ve reached Sbroads level hate here

That line has been playing well all year
U can continue to say it hasn’t,
but u just aren’t gonna find anyone to back u up

- jdfitz77

They've alternated being healthy scratches. Thompson going on to that line is clearly an indication that Housley is looking for more offense there - although I don't think Thompson is the solution there

Lockport is like Martin Luther King Blvd at the end of the strip.... but more heroin and less meth.

Having young kids I am looking at upgrading my house. We are going to move to a school district and not a specific town. Starpoint is one of the best school districts and part of it includes Lockport.

I thought it was fun

Hopefully StL continues to suck this year,
and keeps their pick
Then if they suck again next year,
u might have to start it up again for us

Random thoughts

-Apparently good defensive play is not valued by some on this board. If you dont score, you completely suck. No ffalue given to shuting down the oppositions $20m line with 2 top 10/15 players on it...all done by a line with 2 guys who make ~$3m between them. They play half the mi utes of the stars...of course they aren't going to match shift for shift. SMH.

I can find responsible 4th liners walking around on the street that might have a chance of scoring once in a blue moon.

WHen I moved back I lived with my parents, I can see Starpoint from the front window. They live in "Lockport" the neighbor across the street does not.

Yeah that is not the LP I am talking about though. The "country" part is beautiful. Starpoint is the best public school in WNY.

My grandparents are in the newer development on Shawnee, technically it is NT, but Starpoint schools. Just because Wheatfield does not have a post office.

Inserting Thompson into the lineup was to get him a game so he wasn’t sitting for so long
I just don’t understand what they’re doing with him at all

Would we all like more scoring from the 4th line?
I guess
But as long as they’re playing good defense,
and keeping the puck out of our end for the most part...
I’m completely cool with that

If the 2nd & 3rd lines can continue to provide some depth scoring,
we won’t even notice the small lack of scoring on line4

What kind of person moves to Lockport "on a whim" then stays there for years only to have a mental breakdown about his life decisions on hockeybuzz? Maybe move?

Rent must be free or something. Do you get internet access free as well? I can just imagine you sitting at a library computer terminal feverously typing away this manifesto.

The people that have LP mailing address in SP district do not tell people they live in LP. Just like my grandparents don't say they live in NT.

My major beef right now is with ERod. I just haven't been a huge fan of his this year. I feel like he needs to actually slow himself down a bit. Can't even count the number of times he takes off but doesn't take the puck with him or completely just over skates it. I just feel like his game is all over the place and not in a good way lately.

I think that is a product of the system Housley wants them to play.

Fast fast and then faster

He fits the system perfectly physically, he just needs his mind to match his body

Agree. I also don't consider people like Angler, "Lockport folk" as he is old time LP(by the way he speaks). But the new breed there of drug addicts and trash bags have ruined that area for most of the WNY community. I would honestly walk through the Falls or down Broadway rather than through the city of LP.
- CoHo_to_B-Lo

I honestly haven't spent too much time there recently. Last summer I was out all night at the bars on Main, and I didn't have or see any problems at all. Maybe I just feel more comfortable being back there because I am a local.

Unfortunately, I have heard that LKPT is now dealing with some crime syndicates running between the Falls and Rochester... so that's not good.

Town of LKPT is definitely nicer than the city.

And happy to be considered "old time LP' - i'll take it. sounds just a little better haha.

Like I said, I think he just needs to slow himself down a tiny bit. I love his tenacity, but he blew right by the puck time after time after time during that Tampa game. And that's not a team that you typically can do that with and still win. So he got pretty lucky. But a bunch of times when he did that we ended up getting hemmed into our own end.

I just would like to see more out of that line in general. But I think getting him going correctly will help.

It's 35% under what a "good" 4th liner is expected to get. It's time to raise expectations
- jcragcrumple

I mean, I get it, but I’m more concerned with our “1 d man” being unable to make an outlet pass. Or Scandella looking like a fish out of water every shift, or Thompson being here in general.

Not a guy lacking a point or 2 every 15 games

But a guy on Pace for 60 points is a problem because he was drafted second overall

He hasn’t been a problem lately.

But if you want to pretend he played well the first 10-12 games be my guest
