Back to your original point though, there are undoubtedly arguments for ZG, but dude has 1 fight in 5 NHL seasons. He's no more likely to throw fists than Erod.

Girgs is way more likely to check, play physical and fight then erod. That's just not his game.

skating fast and shooting the puck directly into the center of the goalies crest.

I hated when Murray did this. He seemed to give all his acquisitions all the chances, like having Hudson Fasching start the year in Buffalo when 3 guys in Rochester were better

I’d rather see Bailey or Smith in that role and have Thompson playing in the AHL.
