Adding Malkin while subtracting Bogo and Scandella. Guaranteed playoffs for years

Of course it does. Throw in the next five years of 1sts so 8 firsts for Crosby would make us as good as anyone in the league. Cap trouble is right around the corner if you do that, and the casualty is prolly Skinner or depth. Look at the Penguins now, or Chicago. That's what we would be, except without the 3 cups already. That's a GMTM move it win now. It would strip the cupboards and future for what? 3/4 years of a declining Malkin? Hard pass.

There were many things wrong with this team...not just one.

Jeremy White is saying that Skinner is looking for 8 years, 9-9.5 a year. I know Botterill is talking to his agent I posted that last week but, those numbers didn't come up I was told. 8-8.5 did. All a starting point.

too much at this time...botts needs to continue to fill the pipeline with quality...it won't be long before the sabres will be tight against the cap on a yearly basis

This season is basically us playing with house money.

This year is a transitional year for the sabres, we werent really expecting them be playing well until next season.

Haven't heard that one in decades, especially living out in Colorado for the past 20 years. The Amherst, NY travel hockey team I played on in the 80's adopted that from the Sabres of the time, and our parents and siblings would exuberantly chant it during our games: 'Ooh Ah, Amherst on the Warpath...'

Frank that. You gotta pay for talent... Kings, Pens and Hawks have all won the CUP. I will gladly go back to being the laughing stock of the NHL for ONE cup......
