Over the summer, I was hoping Erod would center the 4th line. Speed, jam, creativity. I assume he's not playing center tonight, but I like him in our lineup.
Also, I want to see the sabres dismantle a team on National TV. When was the last time we saw that? Go Fukkin KILL the flyers. They always deserve it!

Berglund to IR. With Pilut recalled, they have 13 forwards and 8 D. Since Pilut didn't participate in the morning skate, likely Beaulieau plays tonight and Pilut could play Friday.

He brought in Sheary and Skinner for speed

He brought in Thompson for scoring at a low cost

He brought in Berglund and Sobotka so we wouldn't have to watch Nolan, Griffith, Criscuolo or Moulson in the bottom 6. They weren't going to give us a 1st, Schwartz and Thompson.

We have roster flexibility and 3 contracts under 4 mil that should be easier to move if want down the line.

It's not O'Reilly OR speed. It's relative to the makeup of the team, not a straight dichotomy

Hey boys, excited for game night. Just poured myself a solid DIPA and am anxiously awaiting a great night of hockey. I also just confirmed a trip to the Buff over Christmas break to see the Sabres/Bruins game. Woohoo. I know this streak won’t last forever, and fully acknowledge there will most likely be some rough patches ahead. Only complaint right now is that I wish they would start games the way they’ve been finishing them. Either way, I always watch every game I can, good bad or ugly. But right now I really love this team, best stretch in a long time.

Optimism.

I’m just happy to be here and yes I know I’m doing it wrong.

You're failing to see the benefits of the increased roster flexibility and cap flexibility, the difference that those 3 players have made to the atrocious bottom-6 we had last year, the 1st round pick, the playoff experience, the upside with Thompson.

you can either believe that Botterill, a guy instrumental in helping the pens win back to back cups and someone with a proven track record of getting good value, got schooled hard cause he was blackout drunk when he made this trade. Or, it is ever so slightly possible that he was desperate to get ROR out cause it wasn't working with him on this team. It's your call.

In fairness, this presumes the trade had to be made. Fitz is not alone in asking whether that’s fundamentally true.

But that doesn’t mean I like the way he makes his case.
