Guess it depends on the guy they get in return. - BashCH
for a 3rd liner who scored 2 goals?

He's a good young prospect. He'll keep improving. |

Not a prospect anymore. He's been in the NHL for a while now. |

I'm far from sure. It's not like he is breaking anything in Montreal.
By the way, when I proposed to go after a ufa this summer, you were against it and same with getting a young defenseman.
Not doing anything and expecting that defense to get better is a joke.
They never replaced Markov and did not have a plan for it. - deadpoulet
When did I say they shouldn't trade for a young D?? Cause all I've been saying is they should trade for a young D...
Danault & a 3rd to LA for Kale Clague or a package for Ty Smith or Jett Woo (who's Josh Brook's D partner in Moose Jaw)... those are guys they should be targeting... Jake Bean, Dante Fabbro.... |

Then what do you propose? Any names for names in mind? - deadpoulet
Just listed 4-5 of them, there's plenty more... or you could do some research, right? 😉 |

No, he's not a prospect... how about seeing what they have in Mete, Reilly, Juulsen and Ouellet instead of scratching them in favor of Alzner, Schlemko and Benn? That would be a start... |

A package of poop is not gonna give you more than poop. That's why you think I want to give too much. You come up with the famous package of poop from the fans too scare to do anything. |

Well if were talking Smith or Woo... I'd be willing to part with quite a bit....
How about Tatar? He could bring back a D

Well Juulsen is hurt. Most of the guys are on and off.
Sure, I would prefer them to the 3 amigos, but I don't see them as a partner for Weber, a guy who by the way, did not play in 1 year. |

If they really wanted Woo, they would've drafted him last summer... |

The question is : are we building for the future or frantic to make the playoffs? |

I'm afraid now that they've played well Bergevin will just trade all his assets to make the playoffs and lose in 4 games. |

They probably wanted every guy in the 1st round, you only get to draft 1, doesn't mean you have no interest in all the other ones, does it? |

I love the guy but if a playoff team needing offense is willing to part with a good young D for him, I'll pack his bags myself |

Juulsen is hurt now but he too fell victim to Julien's incompetence earlier this year |

If there is a chance at the playoffs near the deadline, Bergevin will most likely do something. It's a business fox. |

No doubt.... The guy is a player, top 6 F on any team... but like I said, if a team offers up a young D prospect for him, you have to pull the trigger |

Still a long way from now.
Should he look for a partner for Weber now or give Reilly and Mete a shot? |
