Yep. If you make a legit threat to one's safety in real life and know where to find that person, you can and will be banned. - jmatchett383
Wow I had no idea. Took long enough for him to get banned. |

I would be a little worried if I was an Ottawa Senator at this point.
You’d think these guys come out balls on fire for the next one. |

I dunno..I take Stamkos and Barkov well before Coots.
I would say to me Coots is 100% a top 20 center. Hell if you are honest about your list you have 12 players listed with Stamkos not being one of them. - opeth_pa
(Whispers that possibly due to injury, Stamkos isn't the player he used to be)

You can get small vacations for a lot of things. But making threats to people's personal safety and making 9/11 jokes will get you a lifetime vacation. |

I'd be okay with an interim coach, tbh. - jmatchett383
Wheres that one guy on the lower level who cleans the seats ? He will do for a hc for now. The popcorn guys on the 1st tier can be the assist coaches. I don't care anymore. I want them gone now!! |

When you pile it all up.
-Hartnell traded for an already bad Umberger
-Del Zotto signed and replaced Timonen
-Dave Hakstol without pro coaching experience anywhere, hired, and coached Brett Hextall
-I can already feel the hatred but trading Brayden Schenn for two firsts and Lehtera. Lehtera is a serious anchor. Fast forward to a year later, he signs JvR to a bigger deal, he’s older and in my experience Schenn is better offensively, can play all three positions and more physical.
-Our team is softer since Hextall has come in. We aren’t faster. A decision on Simmonds hasn’t been made. - SuperSchennBros
I would also add that lucking into Patrick makes the draft crops look much better then they might actually be...there are good players, but you don't know how much of that is the staff doing there job vs Hexy getting the credit...
Ticket sales are down, they can't give away tickets, Sixers are doing better (they just tanked better), STH are not renewing...this is bad GM work and it was having a financial cost...hell, imagine the thought of Gritty under Ed's ownership...not ever...this is just a move to try and sell tickets...the product on the ice is not doing that and the GM has to go for not putting a team on the ice that can compete every night...
and to agree with you..we will most likely be the losers of the B Schenn deal...maybe long term it might help, but like you have always said, this team got worse when he left...

Why's it gotta be the lower level seat cleaner? Give a chance to the guys in the nosebleeds. |

Someone one mentioned it but could there have been a disconnect between hackstoll and Hextall? Maybe Hackstol wanted to push this thing forward. Waive guys like Weise and Lehtara but Hextall said no, let our guys in the AHL?
Maybe he asked for a reliable goalie and Hextall said no, we are waiting on Hart.
All any of us can do is speculate.
As good as Hextall did for the Flyers he also wasn't immune to some glaring issues. |

This actually makes more sense. Especially in light of Hak still being here.

Lol Hakstol just spoke to media and said we haven’t been that bad outside of the Toronto and Buffalo games and that slow /complacent starts to games is not a trend of ours. Good (frank)ing bye - arichardson22
Seriously? Wow. I guess he doesn't watch the same games I do... |

No, but they aren’t going to force a new GM to keep a HC. - flyer_nutter
No, I don't think so either but I don't see it as "Ron, we want you to fire the coach". Hextall says no. So they fire Hextall and keep the coach.

The decision on Simmonds is a big one. The rest are water under the bridge so not as interesting to me to hash out in retrospect. I’m very interested in what happens with Wayne. |

I could have seen it as multiple conversations going back before this season and Hextall having refused.
Lack of overall improvement and poof. I do think if he fires Hak before this season, or even a couple weeks ago he is still here. |

I don't know, maybe we can promote them both and alternate the days they coach until a suitable replacement can be found. I hear the person in the cote suite making the popcorn is looking for a promotion. |

Hextall got fired for EVERYTHING, not just the coaching staff. The questioning of having the right players and moves, lack thereof, to improve the team as well. |
