That’s weird. It starts 12/21 around here. - TheHank
Meteorological winter also starts 12/1, troll.
But it's the first measurable snow and that's when winter starts for me. |

Could easily move Pommer out or perhaps convince LA that Okposo is the droid they were looking for. It could work financially, but agree we don't need any d-zone duds and he certainly has been.
I'd still be targeting a veteran winger that could score consistently. What you think of Wayne Simmonds? - RhinoFan
Could work, sure, but very hard. Pommer and Okposo are both on MNTC's. The King's are using LTIR, so they have even less flexibility. It's just far-fetched.
Love Simmonds. As a rental, not interested in paying the price. |

My 2 cents about BuffaloHardHat.
BuffaloHardHat wasn't/isn't a bad guy.
He was going through a very rough period a few years back.
Everyone is human.
Anyway..
4-2 Sabres tonight.
Dahlin with the winner. - Over50
Why talk about yourself in the third person?
And yes, this version is much more chill. |

(frank) all this Kovy talk. If we are talking a playoff run, there's one rental I'm looking at
PRIME RENTAL: Wayne Simmonds.
With Philly becoming a straight poopshow with no goaltending they need to make some adjustments. With a perfect trade partner in the... Buffalo Sabres.
Buffalo needs more than just Jeff Skinner carrying the scoring load. This helps us for a playoff push this year with Wayne Simmonds UFA at season end and a reasonable cap hit at 3.95.
We dump some salary back with 2.4 Beaulieu and helps the flyers with some more veteran depth on the left side with the youngsters they have holding down the fort now.
Picks are to offset value here as well.
Buffalo Trades:
2018 SJS 1st Rd pick
D Nathan Beaulieu
Philadelphia Trades:
F Wayne Simmonds
2018 Phi 6th Rd Pick
Buffalo Waives F Remi Elie.
I would also assume some roster moves are made to adjust. What do you think? - Sabre_Tooth
Not trading a first for a pure rental. |

Yeah, I'm good with that. They get the lowest of Buffalo's possible 1sts
Lowest 1st + Berglund for Simmonds + 3rd |

It happens all the time especially with a low AAV like that he is prime consideration for most top teams. gonna have to pay the price. |

It may happen all the time, but this team isn't at that stage yet.

Yeah, for Cup contenders like the Pens and Sharks to put them over the top. Not for teams who haven't made the playoffs in 7 years. |

Then Pommer or Okposo goes to another team. Easy enough. NTC's can be gotten around, if they are modified with lists of teams you can go that route or sometimes the player will waive.
It's a non issue, just saying it could be done. |

There's nothing easy about moving either of them, but especially Okposo.

yeah but you cant play maybe next year for your whole life, then you become a perennial poop franchise.
I'm just saying if we keep it up this year we shouldn't be pussies about it. Vegas traded 1,2 & 3 for tatar (yes, stupid) but when was the last time we were in a cup final??? They did it in their first year. |

him being almost irrelevant on that team doesn't bode well for pointing to it as a reason they made the finals |
