Once he's signed he's on the 23 man roster. To sign him someone has to be sent down or waived.

Maybe they send down a guy like oziganov for a day to sign him just a a roster move if they have to. Then try to sort out the waivers

This may sound a little pissy, but it rubs me the wrong way that Nylander isn’t in Toronto.

He should be in a position where if he signs , he is ready to go right away.

My favourite is Matthews is going to the Coyotees next season in a record deal. My question is where is this $ coming from? They can't even pay actual money to reach the cap floor and lose a minimum 30 million a year.

Its all speculation at this point. Marner is on pace to score over 100 points, making JT look pretty good right now. I would think he will be getting a nice pay hike, AFTER the Leafs sign Matthews and make him captain.
