So far the Bears D is winning this game...
...let's see if they can avoid their usual 4th quarter fade. |

And the shenanigans pulled off by Nagy. But yeah, their d is great and has been great. As I type, Floyd blows a tackle and Goff stopped sucking. |

Anytime this new coaching staff wants to take Toews off the first PP he’s useless he won’t shoot and won’t take the puck to the net. At least Strome can get himself open to shoot. And he’s got a much better shot.
4-5 times he could’ve taken the puck to the net Bc Hayden was occupying the defenseman and didn’t. - bhawks2241
My God you're delusional in your hatred for this guy, Strome on the first PP unit?? Really?? Toews was destroying everyone at the dot tonight including on the pp, which in turn sets up puck possession, but yeah, it's all his fault they didn't score on the pp, all on him exactly, pick a new team man seriously, because he is most definitely not the problem with this team right now. |

Agree. And I think the Bears are better than 8-4.

well...might as well turn into bears blog...nothing else good to talk about

About the dismal PP that as been going on for years now. I wish Kane could move the puck quicker at times. Seems like when Kane gets the puck the whole PP seems to freeze with no player movement waiting for the perfect pass from Kane. #foodforthought |

There has to be something good to write about ... otherwise there would be a large amount of complaining. "And I don't need no wah-wah"-George Harrison. Haha. |

Your right I was mistaken .I just wanted Q gone ,and for sometime . It's not like the team was playing well under Q
JC I think is being hamstrung by management to this point .. It was a green move having 29 out their for sure ,but young coaches running a dysfunctional bench will make mistakes .
Losing AA hurt in this game ,especially on the PP .out front . It was a tough game to lose ,this team seems to find away no matter what ..
Bring in a new GM (Mark Hunter ) let JC bring in his own assistants .And let's start looking ahead not back .. GO HAWKS !! - oldduffman
The NHL is no place for a 'young coach running a dysfunctional bench.' That's what you find in the ECHL or the Swedish 2nd Division where the tickets cost about $10.
And for those who don't believe a really good experienced bench boss makes a difference in the NHL - I give you Montreal, Calgary and Edmonton. All of them have made big improvements in the team game with rosters that aren't tops in the league.
Meanwhile teams like Chicago and Florida fire proven coaches and start sinking quickly. There will never be a better reason to fire Stanbo than his decision to bring Colliton on when he did. The season is over and its early December. Q would have at least made it look like they had a chance into sometime in January.

The unspoken rule of killing off a 5 on 3 was outweighed by only converting 1 pp out of ... what, 7 or 8? |

since the hawks clinched the WC top seed in late march of 2017:
1. Lost 4 strt to end the season
2. Lost 4 strt to the preds
3. 2017-18 record: 33-39-10
4. currently at 9-17-5
since that clinch they are a combined 42-64-15 from first to last in conference is just over 1.5 seasons
WTF...this has to be one of fastest team plunges in recent NHL memory...
I dont think this team has a chance of equaling last year's 33 wins... |

that so called Q rule that foley constantly blabs about is just complete nonsence; someone did an analysis on this a few years ago...its 50/50 at best there is no correlation between losing if you fail on the 5 on 3 or winning if you score...

no question...awful decision by stanbow to place a young coach like JC in this position 15 games into the season...and then what balz for him and MCD to proclaim this decision was made cuz THIS horsepoop roster is playoff caliber...
stanbow owns this entire mess and he should be gone 1/1/19. this guy has business handling another trade or managing this roster...
the hawks are now a complete laughing stock who puke all over the ice in the first period; this team is mentally weak and not prepared to play which exposes their lack of talent and the death of a great core... |

Agree, no chance to hit 33.
Clearly the worst team I have seen play this year. The record speaks for itself, Stan must be hiding those stats from McD,

Hey Bogie...
It's a wish list. My actual expectations are much more modest.
Let's start with a front office purge and go from there shall we. |
