It is just my opinion. I don't have a problem with Sutter Guddy Beagle and Roussel .I know others do but I don't .

The obvious one is Loui . Me personally I don't like Svens or Stechers and that is only because I am not a fan of the players themselves. I think Gagner and MDZ turned out bad but I didn't hate the signings.

All good signings. Even the Schaller signing looked good at the time. Sven is soft but can put up 35-40 points/yr, but would be a disaster if we ever get back to the playoffs. Way too soft. A good reg. season player win for Benning with Sven.

Stecher is a bit of an anomaly. Looks great at times, looks lost at others. A solid rookie year I think fans expected him to be 'Quinn Hughes lite'...not to be.

Gagner was never going to put up numbers here like he did in CLB playing with top 6 guys on their PP. Much like eriksson was in BOS. Although in Ganger's defence he really hasn't been used properly here and was badly outplayed in pre-season by a few kids which is all good and fine...but should have been utilized properly by Green.

MDZ to me is a lot like Stecher. Has moments of good play then looks like he belongs in the AHL most other nights.

It's obvious that Tanev/Edler back in the line-up really isn't going to progress us forward. Sure it's great having them back to munch minutes but no real extra results with wins or the scoresheet. TDL would be a great time to acquire assets for this two. No need risking roster spots for their injury-status' anymore...time to go.

WD was never given a true chance to drop 12 of 14. I think if he applied himself properly he could have reached that goal. Maybe he can in LA . Good Luck Willie Boy

Eventually Canucks need real top end talent and not 3s dressed up as 9s.

I like the line of Bo Jake and Roussel , I hope they can make that work. Brock and EP will eventually be a very good line too. Leivo Granlund Eriksson should not be top 6.

lol well I don't envision Green leading this club to a 103pt season. WD had his flaws yes but those rosters he had his final two season were horrendous. See what Green can do from here I guess they are string to build a solid core for him. With Hughes and OJ here next season Green will have to provide 'some' results in the way of moving forward. He gets a pass this year of course but next year will be the kicker.

We are still very early in the change over. I like Leivo as a third liner. Money aside Sutter and Beagle would make an awesome shutdown and maybe that is where you add Schaller .

I think our problem over the last x amount of years has been playing bottom 6 players in our top 6, and AHL players in our bottom 6. If leivo and sven and golodobin are the skillset of your bottom 6, i think you having the makings of a pretty skilled team, our problem has been finding the appropriate top end skill to fill those spots in the top 6. Sutter and Beagle playing 3C and 4c are just fine imo.

I do, I have no issues with his signings other than Eriksson.
And that is only because of hindsight, which I try not to use in evaluating.

Not sure how people can say so & so is paid 500k to much, or one year to long.

I am pretty much the same & see Sven/Stecher as trade bait. Logjams is mostly my reasoning.

I pretty much agree, there are players that I may not be fond of also, and I have to ask, would these players turn out bad on other teams as well, or because the Canucks don’t have the proper mix of players that would make these guys look better.

I think that is what most are also evaluating players contracts on, they simply don’t like the player so they complain they are over paid, over tenured, pull stats out of wherever to justify their opinions.

Schiller looked great with Sutter for a time but has had zero chemistry with every other forward on the club. Tough to know where that is going.

Sutter/Beagle as a 3C/4C pair are perfect. Defensively sound and can contribute a bit on the scoresheet. Just gotta stay healthy.
