I can get behind that idea with moving Simmonds.

That doesn't guarantee a quick fix unless that magic trade is for a superstar. Rather take a chance getting Hughes and getting their first superstar since Lindros to build around.

What you hear is what the media and fans want to believe. Yes, Homer and Scott said they want to make the playoffs, but of course they are going to say that. Are they going to fire the GM mid season and tell everyone, we are giving up? It's PR and the media gets more clicks by selling panic and drama.
