Even then it would take an awful lot to get me to part with that pick. The smarter move would be to get a 1st back from a playoff team in a Simmonds deal and use that pick in a draft day deal for immediate help.
Edit: there is no magic move that is going to save this season. - BiggE
I can get behind that idea with moving Simmonds. |

That doesn't guarantee a quick fix unless that magic trade is for a superstar. Rather take a chance getting Hughes and getting their first superstar since Lindros to build around. - Glak18
I agree with you. But what I've heard sounds like they want a quick turnaround like 07/08 |

Could be worse, at least we are down 6-1 to a very good team on the road. The Blues are down 6-1 to the not very good Canucks in their own barn. |

100%. It sucks, but acceptance is the only outcome.
54 games left after this...they need at least 34-35 wins out of those games to just make the playoffs. |

I know the Blues are injured but that team should really be better. At least we're fairly young. I feel like they have a ton of vets. |

What you hear is what the media and fans want to believe. Yes, Homer and Scott said they want to make the playoffs, but of course they are going to say that. Are they going to fire the GM mid season and tell everyone, we are giving up? It's PR and the media gets more clicks by selling panic and drama. |

What are we going to give them? Jets are trying to contend. No reason for them to sell. - hereticpride
The Jets might trade Myers now or Trouba after the season if he doesn't resign. They might trade Buff if Trouba resigns as they have 4 NHL ready d-men in the minors waiting for a chance to play on the Jets. Its just what would Philly offer?

These games are really showing Fletcher what he has to work with at least.
You can really tell who is worth keeping when you watch loses like this. |

Neuvy should be done on this team
Simmonds should get traded to a contender
Get what you can for the other pending UFAs |

Again not enough for the Jets to like. None are worth any of the top prospects and I doubt the Jets want the leftovers. |

What was the point of putting Stollie in this game after deciding to give Neuy the start?
None of the goals have been his fault but still, just let Nuevy get torched. He's got no future with this team. |

Honestly don't think we have interest in Buff. Of anything I think they could go all in on a premier #1. I don't see making anough of a difference here. |

I can't get Drew Doughty and his impending 11mil cap hit out of my head.
I'm scared.(Even though I'd actually love him here) |

The hope the team would play better, but that didn't happen and the Jets are too good for them. |
