I'm guessing a 1st.

I'd do a lottery protected 1st... I think he'd fit well with Sid and Jake. Obviously the cap is an issue though....and then we're sending out cap dumps and the price gets higher.

Well, it's going to be interesting to see who's available. There are some quality rentals this year (I'm basing this teams likely not to be in the playoff hunt):

Duchene, Stone, Nyquist, Spezza, Johannson, Zuccarello, Hayes, Panik, Dzingel, B.Boyle, Maroon, Chiasson.

Now, I'm sure a few will re-sign prior to the deadline, but I'm sure teams will be willing to grab some of these guys even knowing they're going right back to their team after this season.

I'm up 469 to 303 and twice the amount of players today. I think I won.

not a fan of PHN but they did an article with some middle six winger options just for fun... Zuccarello, Nyqvist, Sam Bennett, and Charlie Coyle

In order of whom I am most interested in: Coyle, Nyqvist, Bennett, Zuccarello.

I think there is some intrigue with Zuc and Brass together... but I just feel like were trading away assets to get Sheary back. I just think we need a different type of player. (and Zuc is expensive so thats a tough deal anyway).

- YouMeAndDupuis9

Sheary would be a pretty nice get for this team, right now.

I think Panik would be an interesting player to look into and probably wouldn't cost too much.

I watched that Buffalo/Flyer game yesterday. Classic Sheary sequence. Misses a point blank open cage and puts it into the Stolarz mid-section. Then 5 seconds later get's smoked backchecking. No resistance what so ever. Dude shrugged him off like he was 12 to go in on an odd man break.

We might be missing some scoring depth, but we're not missing him.

Sheary's last days in Pittsburgh were average to bad. I don't miss him either. Period.

Honestly... I don't really hate the guy. I just hated his game after he got his big contract. At 700k....he's a nice complimentary type player. At 3 mil he can take his soft game and his 2 goals in his last 34 playoff games somewhere else.

Rust seems to be following a similar path unfortunately.

I doubt it but I'd do it in a heart beat. Let's try Coyle or Nyquist first.

Seems to be several teams with higher expectations struggling. I'd like Coyle too. Not an UFA. I think we should definitely try to get a player or two with term.

I’d like the Pens to ditch some salary. I’m not sure Rust has much value but Puljujarvi might be in Sprong territory.

I would scratch Rust at this point. Just let him watch for a few games. He looks like a classic case of a guy that's pressing so hard that he's lost the ability to do the simple things. At 3.5 x 4 I think his value is virtually gone.

I would scratch Rust for a few games and see how he responds.

By and large, I'd be far more patient with Rust if the Pens weren't in such a "win now" mode. There has to be some mental reason why Rust is a shell of himself. We just have to hope he figures it out sooner or later.

I think his contract is fair and it would suck to move him only to see him get out of his rut and flourish.

Sam Bennett (frank)ing sucks. Zucc all day. Then Gus. Coyle would be an okay consolation prize. I want no part of Bennett. He’s a bum.

Only right winger worth anything was Kessel. Also attack from the right side on the PP usually
- jchst22

Not having Hornqvist hurt, probably why they lost the game. As was stated earlier Anderson saw everything, no screens, few if any rebounds.

Rust is a better RW than a LW. Just put him there and let him fight Simon for playing time.

I was winning by just a few points all week to 1st place in the division, I was 2nd, but he pulled ahead by 10 yesterday, so now I'm 3rd.

Zuc is $4.5M and is a right wing. I just dont see it as a good fit.
