Then we keep their pick. That simple. - ImThatGuy
And they keep Tarasenko
You guys just don't get it, not to mention there is nothing guaranteeing St. Louis doesn't turn it around when they hire a new coach (Q for example)
Tarasenko on Eichel's wing... |

Do you really think they would move Tarasenko and not insist on getting their 1st back? - Stripes77
possibly a dumb question but im curious...
If team A sends a pick to team B and attaches conditions to it (i.e if top 10, deferred from 2019 to 2020)
If team A somehow re acquires that pick...are those conditions still kept? Like if STL reacquired their first from us...would it defer if they finished bottom 10?
I guess what im asking is do the conditions get nulled if you get your pick back or are they permanent until the pick is determined?

If you reacquire your own pick who would they defer the pick to?

Obviously not but you cant add that first St. Louis pick
Buffalo has the ability to maybe add another top talent in the draft that is on a Lower cap hit and could be the missing puzzle piece to start a dynasty
I love tank but he’s not worth a chance at Lafrenière |

Also, don't trade any of the first round picks, keep building this thing up and keep putting players in the pipeline. - ImThatGuy
Agreed ..
That’s why I’m kind a hoping they do nothing at the deadline if they make the playoffs that’s a plus just keep on building and we could be creating a dynasty in the future |

People want Tarasenko at 7.5 mill and want to keep Skinner who will cost 7-8. We will be the Hawks or Kings in no time. Foolish. |

You could make it work, but a lot of pieces would have to be moved out.
You have to move out 8MM in salary in a Taresenko Trade
Sobodka.
Scandella.
Okposo.
Berglund.
Would all have to be moved.

Q is going to Seattle.
Q gets paid 6MM next year to do nothing. If he takes a job he loses $6MM
He is going to wait a year and take the Seattle job.
There were Blues players literally fighting each other at practice today. That team is a mess.
Add not to mention. You would need to move out 8MM in salary to bring in Taresenko.
St Louis is not going to take that on. So you basically have to dump players. |

Hawks signed 2 players to identical $10.5 million contract when the cap was $71 million.
The cap next year will be $83 |

Correct
Adding Tarasenko is doable (not this year with the limited cap space) but Pommer and Moulson coming off you could keep Skinner and bring in Tarasenko. |

it is, personally prefer it to go to anywhere but a winger. |

But don't blame the player... Blame the GM for not picking Nylander or Leon D, or Ehlers - hehateme
Seriously, how can you completely obsolve the player?
Couldn't he work out harder?
Add more muscle?
Stay after practice more?
Work on his shot?
Stop partying?
Try harder?
Be committed to winning at all costs?
But it's the gm's fault.
The player should take some responsibility for not living up to expectations.

Um,
The top 3 in the NHL draft are supposed to be difference makers.
Draft position absolutely means something. - ImThatGuy
👏
Why did we tank to have the right to choose any forward if draft position means nothing? |
