I’d try bumping Skinner & Reinhart (or at least Skinner) down to play with Mitts before i did something as drastic as u propose - jdfitz77
I'd counter that by suggesting we fire Elie, Larsson and Girgs toward the Kuiper belt in Elon's Tesla |

do not break up a line that is clearly working...Skinner and Eichel goes together like peas and carrots. - hehateme
I hear ya
But we aren’t gonna be able to win against good teams in the playoffs with only 1 line clicking
I’d rather try it now,
then wait till we’re down 3-1 in the 1st round |

You can see by their heart and dedication in their perseverance that they’ve change their way of style they are learning how to win different ways
As the season goes on they will get more comfortable and find out ways to win the right way instead of fighting back from behind

Yep there are 4 players or so that need to be removed but if they can find their game we might be scary in the playoffs
But I’m excited |

Elie hardly plays anyways
Larsson & Girgs have been pretty solid-
in their roles
Bringing up 3 rookie forwards at once isn’t the best idea
Maybe bring up 1, figure out where he fits
Then do it with another at some point if we still can’t get lines 2&3 producing

Larsson got schooled in his role on Saturday. I was told it's ok that he doesn't score because we need him for d zone draws. Getting beat cleanly and having the puck in the back of the net presumably isn't part of that role. Or taking several penalties in one game |

It worked for the leafs - gerbe75pts
I don’t think the leafs actually played 3 rookies on 1 line.
The closest was nylander with Matthews, and technically it was nylanders 2nd year.
Unless I’m forgetting a different line combo. |

Just saying we should be open to moving Skinner to play with Mitts
There’s a decent chance that Skinner could get Mitts going
And we can be reasonably sure that whoever we put with Jack is gonna produce
What about Sheary or Thompson on Jack’s LW?
I’d even be open to trying Berglund there
I know it’s not ideal with how well Jack & Skinner have been together...
but we’ve gotta figure this out

Larsson had a bad game, no denying that but he's season has been pretty good as a defensive 4th line role player. Would I mind he he was gone, no , but he does have a role, one that he filled pretty damn good during our little 10 game streak.

It's amazing to me that Reinhart makes $2m more than Larsson and gets so much more poop thrown at him on this board than Larsson who is actually useless |

He’s been pretty good overall this season,
and u know it
O’Regan isn’t gonna come in here & score on line4 while playing a competent defensive role |

But he’s not “useless”
He just doesn’t score
Few 4th liners do
Especially when used so heavily defensively |

He is useless. And he's on pace to score below the lowest end of the 4th line spectrum.
Every 4th liner is used defensively
Takes penalties
PK is mediocre
I am amazed that anyone defends him |

Except they get actually decent O-Zone zone time, and create zero actual scoring opportunities. They can get the puck out of the D-Zone, but can't do anything with it. They should change on the fly as soon as the puck gets into the O-Zone so they can put players on the ice who can actually, you know, score goals. |
