I would want PK88 on this team in a heartbeat but come on that proposal is just bat poop crazy , Maybe a first Sam, Guhle and Ukka for PK88, I would throw in maybe another first rounder if thy take Okposso.

Larsson is above Mitts in even strength. Larsson is averaging 12 minutes even strength, not 9.

Everyone can keep making excuses, but the "4th" line is actually the 2nd/3rd

And that 2nd/3rd line is putting up sub-4th line offensive numbers

Wouldn't even be worried about the next 2 years so Scandella doesn't matter much since we'd still have (hopefully) major impact players on ELCs.

3 years from now is when the ELC's expire and Kanes contract would make us have to ship 1 or 2 of them out and fill it with plugs.

I don't think so.
You use ATOI for Larsson to justify calling him a 2nd liner.
Most would define the 2nd line differently, usually your 2nd best Offensive line that can also play responsibly on the defensive side..yes, that line then typically plays 2nd most minutes. From ATOI perspective only, you have an argument.
Your argument however falls apart when you consider thec role his line plays, as well as his specific role...that role for both his line and him individually skew the ATOI up . The role is strictly as a defensive line/player. Any offensive production is gravy. They do quite well though in flipping the ice..to whicj Jack and Co, and Mitt's line typically benefit from.
It is skewed up because thsy don't have a true 2C yet that can effectively p,ay against top lines.

But, hey whatever...using your logic, Hutton needs to be banished...he is their worst Offensive player by far.

It's not though. The point stands. The "4th line" plays more than the "2nd line." To expect nothing from the "4th," but more from the "2nd" is illogical. Of course scoring is going to be bad when you're playing grinders more than scorers. I agree this is a non-issue if Larsson is playing 7 minutes, but he's playing 14

Everyone who is not on the 1st line needs to do more, absolutely. But to use zone starts as the end-all-be-all of a conversation makes no sense imo. Sobotka and Larsson both play more than Mittelstadt, so why are we calling the Mittelstadt line the 2nd line?
