Yes, I don't see why that would be a problem. |

Just making sure Mjl doesn’t respond to me that I said the opposite a couple days ago. I don’t want to listen to him defend hakstols system, which refuses to describe, for an hour. - Shrike

To me, the following non-NHL players are untouchable:
Myers
Frost
Farabee
Hart
Bu untouchable, I mean that it would take a game-changing skater (Panarin, Taranseko, Pietrangelo) to include them in a trade. Hart is "more untouchable" than the others. |

And after thinking about it, I'd keep the top line the same as the last two games when Couts gets back. I'd then reflect back to the most successful line in the playoffs last year and I'd go with the first two lines of:
JVR-G-TK
Laughton-Couts-Simmons
And move Jake Jake the turnover machine to the 3rd line with Patrick. |

The term scares me, but it's fair to me. Worst case you have a hideous contract on the books for 4 years...not my money. |

6 million is not a hideous contract anymore. Its akin to a 4 million contract 3 years ago.
The and the term arent what scare me about Quick. Its the injuries. No reason to get injury prone goalies when that has been the issue for the last 2 years. |

6 million for a player who could be a backup in a couple of years would be hideous. |

True, but if he helps out now and in 2 years you have confidence in our new goalies, then trade him. In two years, 6 mil won't be so bad and there will always be takers for a decent goalie. Remember, no one thought that Luongo was tradeable. |

I wouldn't take that risk. All factors considered, Quick is a no go for me. |

Ouch!! Not quite what I meant, but the current Flyers system does have possible solutions to some issues if management would like to address them. |

True.
No way should the Flyers acquire Quick. He is exactly what they already have, injury prone and unable to play a full season.
The one positive to Quick's $$$ is, i would imagine, at the next lock out there will be atleast one buyout, if not 2.
If the Flyers acquired Quick, they could always buy him out if that was needed.
