Doughty out of the game early. They scraped out an overtime win against one of the worst teams in the league. There are some good young players there but they aren't quite as good as they have looked the last month and Skinner is not a 8761234 goal-scorer every year.

There is just no chance that team makes the playoffs. They should trade Skinner.

Since The hit from Kronwall on Matthews I’ve not seen Matthews really lean in or down with shoulder and wrist a laser. I’m wondering if he somehow did aggravate the shoulder and to spare media goin bananas over it he seems last 3-4 games more of a passer then the shoulder drop and laser. If he were to take 2-3 games off would not market himself very good let alone be telling other teams he’s made out of crystal. This way he’s in the game and moving just not using the shoulder a whole lot. I hope I’m wrong. He’s not in beast mode as we are accustomed to where he literally is dominating in the game. Hoping he gets it back soon.

Every penalty called against the Leafs was ok by me. The call on the phantom trip of Johnsson was baloney. Only problem was the 7 or 8 missed calls on the Canes when it was close. UG can now rant about how defense wins. And I think Ennis (or Penis) would be top six on the Canes.
