McQuaid gotta play as much as possible to get his trade value up by the deadline
- jimbro83

Will him playing help or hurt that value?

Was hoping when McQuaid got back he would be paired with Skjei. Hopefully a good, veteran partner will steady his game and help him turn it around...

A week from today begins the Holiday roster freeze ----- wonder if we see any trades?

as of now they have protect Kane, Toews, Seabrook and Keith in 2021 expansion draft

I cant imagine being stuck with Seabrook until 2024

I would deal with it if it meant having those cups.

yeah of course

the only thing I have to say about that is that they gave a couple of those contracts out after they won the Cups and didn't have to

but I am sure Seabrook will get some kind of jersey allergy to bail them out of it

Elliotte Friedman’s 31 thoughts:
They’ve (Boston) also been linked to Kevin Hayes, but will have competition. Another possibility for the Ranger centre? Colorado. He’s exactly what they need.

Shattenkirk's contract is making Callahan's look like a bargain.

This has buyout written all over it.

- GalacticStone

Eh I still can see Shatty being plugged into a green defensive core by 2021(they'll use him as a crutch veteran). However I do feel like Skjei will get traded from here soon. Deff before his clause kicks in.

Their top 6 could have insisted of Panarin, Hayes and Nick Schmaltz. Imagine if they still won the Huges sweepstakes? They would have most likely made other moves by now and never would have gave SeaBrook that contract. Hayes and Panarin would have been magic and Nick Schmaltz with Teows and Saad could have extended their window by 2-4 years.

He is for a lot of contenders. Dallas, San Jose, Winnipeg. We all know that the team can't pull a fast one to trade him and expect him to come back. JG was all over the media ttalking about he still wants Hayes long term and Hayes talked about the same future over the summer.

Team's won't give up 1/2 if his worth due to his FA status and the chance of not resigning. Then you can also thank AV for putting him in defensive deployments with little to no special teams. 45 pts, 49 pts, 44 pts. He could have easily been one of the rare 3c to put up a consistent 50+ points if he saw some PP. I'm not even going to cover his DZ% draws. He probably could have put up 55 points and 30 goals last year as long as he saw his TOI go up before the deadline. Thanks AV.

I saw somewhere else that Andersson is rotating once in a while. Sounds like a press box suite for him. Lol so much for that " optimism ".

Btw expect tha Hayes trade speculation to pick up. His showing in the sunshine state got some GM' s a little wet.

So, you're saying that Nash was actually worth 8 assets? Wow. Our GM really poop the bed on that one!

Also, hope he's not afraid of the dark!!

They'd probably want something like Chytil, Miller and 1st.
