On the Blues:
Dreger says that Blues GM Doug Armstrong is always looking to improve his team. They "should be better than they are playing and they are mentally fragile" according to some people around the team.

I want to keep the Blues pick.
If the Blues really want to trade key players on their team, they will do it and they will finish toward the bottom 2 years in a row (at least) so keeping their pick could be top 5 next year.
Do you trade a top 5 pick for Tarasenko? I do not, mostly due to salary and years under team control. - Lilroot9
Tarasenko AND getting rid of Okposos contract. Yes.

Basically in the top 1/5th. Not too bad. Now if the actual quality of the food could also be improved, I'm all for it.
Overpriced and ridiculously mediocre all the time. - HonkFortheGoose
The 100 level has a place that sells street tacos that are really really good. 3 for $11 and they are made to order. Wife and I both had nice dinner for $22 then blew $25 on 2 beers.
Ps dont get the nachos

Two points: First, if it's a top 5 pick we are not getting it unless you think it would be top 5 again next year. Secondly, $7.5m for 4 more season for a RW who hovers around 40g and 75p is a really good deal. Comparable 26 y/o RWs are Stone at $7.35m who is a UFA that will be looking for a raise and Kucherov who just signed for $9.5m. So, yes I would trade the pick that may or may not end up being a top 5 and would add to it to get a player like Tarasenko. - adambuffalo
Yea I guess at first I am drawn to say yes (to trade for him) since I play NHL on Xbox and trade all the time. But then I remember the reason we are in this hole was trying to do that. We have depth now and that is helping both the Amerks and Sabres.
I understand the original posters offer was (2) 1st round picks and Okposo. Why would the Blues do that unless we included a top prospect?
I guess that was the starting point (2) 1sts and Okposo (to balance money), but they are going to want Guhle, a forward prospect and maybe more. That is a lot to give up.
The reason I think the Blues are bad right now is depth and goaltending (sound familiar?) not really because of ROR being on the team, but because they traded depth for him. I dont want to make that mistake again. |

If the pick went back as a key piece of the trade, you would be turning ROR into Taresenko, Berglund, Sobotka and Thompson. That's pretty unreal. I would add another first if needed. Getting the cash to mesh would be the tough part. Okposo has to go, and that would be a nonstarter I would think - jcragcrumple
There's so many hoops to jump through I'm not sure it is even a plausible trade. Just interesting to hear the opinions.
Yes, Okposo would HAVE to go first and you would probably have to add beyond the 2 1sts. |

Okposo, Guhle, 2 1sts. I am still doing that trade. I just can't even imagine Skinner-Jack-Tarasenko

yes that would be Unreal, but IMO we don't need another scoring Winger, we need another play-making center....Rickard Rakell anyone? |

That would be unbelievable.
Maybe jbotts gets the idea that skinner wants 10 million or too much for him to feel comfortable?
Tarasenko has term and a reasonable rate.
Maybe skinner drops his price if we are legit contenders.

Problem is that you never know if those places are going to be open. It's hit or miss. Especially if it's the carts. I've gone to games on a Tuesday and half the concessions are closed.
The food I've had the couple times I've been in the suites has been really good though. Unfortunately I don't get to sit in the suite every game. |

Bertuzzo was one of the guys involved in the fight at practice for the Blues. He is a RD in his last year of his contract. Maybe we could trade Scandella for him straight up. The other guy involved was Zac Sanford I believe, who is one of their young RFAs, so I would think he would be more likely a part they would hang on to. |

Yeah. Star players like him just aren't available often. If they are it seems it has been as rentals which we aren't ready to pay for. |

Do you really want a guy on the team that was just in a fight with other teammates? I mean, I get that we don't know the details and who started it and what not, but we had enough locker room issues of our own in the not so distant past. I'd prefer to leave them there and not possibly start more. |

Skinner isn't getting 10 anywhere IMO, so doubt that's it, he could be asking for too much for sure. I think we will know a lot better on that front come the turn of the year. Everything I heard was the freeze was one time the agent may reach out to Jeff and get the contract negotiations started (see what he wants). |

Let me rephrase that. yes Terasanko would be flipin great. I just think we would be better served with a play making #2 Center. Mitts is not ready to be that guy just yet, maybe in a year or two, but not know. |

That stuff don't bother me at all. That a lot of testosterone in one place.. How many fights do you think there are that we don't hear about? I bet a lot.

Call me crazy but I really think the light in his head finally turned on
Risto's contract is going to look like a bargain soon |
