to play here next year. He said he feels he is ready to play in the NHL now. He follows the team. He thinks he will be a good fit and says this will be an exciting team in a few years.

He also says he has been in the gym quite a bit and is stronger and he is faster . Worked on his skating.

I honestly don't know how his skating could get much better, McJesus was saying he's one of the few that could catch him in a foot race in their off-ice training. Either way, good to hear. I think we got a real gem here that starts to round out the core nicely!
Bo, EP, BB, QH is a very strong start to build around, which is why I think next year is when we start really looking like a team with a new identity. I do love that we have Bo in the mix, in some ways he's the type of guy (including the fact being from Canada) we've been missing for a long time.

Despite him signing this year and burning a year of his ELC, he still wont have to be protected by the canucks as its based on years accrued service, the burnt year wouldnt count. Excellent news for Canucks fans

If he signed his elc before this year and turned pro (ahl or nhl), he would need to be protected, but if he signs after his Michigan season, it wont be deemed a years service apparently. I was under the same impression as you though
