Cant take credit, cam and ryan are the best guys when it comes to prospects and the CBA. Quinn hughes would have to suit up for 40 games as a canuck this year to requiring protecting for the seattle draft

All I want is for him to play one single game with the big club this year. Let’s burn that contract spot for him
- Nucker101

The backend is pretty banged up right now - Juolevi is skating again, but Chatfield has been out for awhile and the other night Sautner took a hard hit to the head, so guys like Saucerman, Blujus, Graham and Dirk are in the lineup. I didn't know anything about Saucey but it seems like he got the ECHL figured out, don't think he's had much of a consistent opportunity at the AHL level.

I wonder if that applies to players like Julevi and Lind who have been injured for lengthy periods of time this season?
If so, I would be trying to have them play less than 40 games this season

He's 5'9 and 26 years old, good for him getting a AHL PTO though.

Did you mean to do a winky face? I think JB will do this, he already has for a few guys so it seems he's not afraid of doing so. Contract control is pretty paramount to winning. Maybe he thinks signing guys after less development will be cost effective if he can get a couple UFA years.

Im honestly not sure. I dont recall vegas taking any prospects who had yet to play a significant amount of games in the NHL.

Somethings up with him - 2 goals in 16 games. He's had some pretty significant injuries, i wonder if they're starting to catch up to him?

Blues are a strange team, on paper they got most of the tools.
Tarasenko, OReilly, Steen, Schwartz, Perron, Schenn - is a pretty deadly top 6
hell, even Bozak, Maroon, Fabbri as the 3rd lines not bad, although Fabbri is more injury prone than Tanev and Edler combined.
Kyrou and Thomas have been underwhelming. Parayko isn't as good as everyone thought he'd be, Boumester fell off a cliff. Jake Allan is the modern day Cloutier, can't come up with a big save to save his life and they consistantly fall apart in the playoffs.
They dont have their 1st rounder this year either!!!

Theodore is the only one that really comes to mind, but that was a bit of a no brainer. Or did they get him via trade and they took someone else?

edit: ya that was a trade. They took Leipsic, Merrill, carrier and nosek. Don't think many had played in the show... don't think many of them play in the show now either.

O'Reilly seems to have a knack for being on teams that look better on paper... there has been rumours that the guy has a pretty fat head. Tarasenko and petri really seem out of wack, huge underperformance by both core players. Allen has been a big problem, you're quite right there.

Love this idea - i said it going into the season, I don't know why Schaller was guaranteed a spot. He showed nothing, reminded me of Gagners lack of everything. Slow on the forecheck, rarely physical, produces nothing - Belongs in Utica, i bet he'd clear waivers.

Blues are a bizarre story. That roster should be better than this. It can’t all be coaching. Must just be a bad mix of players I guess. Agree on Allen, he’s a 1B type of goalie at best.

Bo is such an important player - arguably the most. We got him on a steal of a contract too, JBs finest work in that department IMO - He continually shows improvement & We haven't had a player like him since Linden.
Bo reminds me of Wheeler in terms of his all around game - although as BW has gotten older he's become more of a set up man and i'm not sure Bo will.

oh haha. ya he's real injury prone, but in general I like the idea of a strong defensive winger that's going to turn Bo's line into a shutdown while still chipping in quite a bit.
Stone, Palat, Swartz, Niedorieter would also be nice.

There's cheap options though, MB's Armia pickup was a sly move. Be nice if it was a younger guy you didn't pay a mint for. Tuch is another, but I think they love him in LV. Silferburg, but he's another of those guys that gets hurt a lot it seems. I'm all for this move, essentially LE but someone much younger and trending up (not a guy in the twilight of his career) this time.

Now you're making sense. Bo needs a consistent linemate - I would love to see him and jake stay together for the rest of the year - and see how Sven does with them when he comes back - don't think Goldy fits on that line.

Friedman writes that Detroit Red Wings goaltender Jimmy Howard is in fact available, as expected. However, he also notes that GM Ken Holland and company have “made it clear (they) want at least a first-round pick” in return.

I don't know what team would give up a first for Jimmy Howard. Any team that needs a goalie probably isn't in a playoff spot.
