I just think like we can come close to replacing Nylander far easier - move up Kapanen and give Johnsson more ice time and try to grab an aging vet who wants to prove he can still play (see Ennis, Tyler).

You aren't going to put your hands in the magic NHL roster bag and pull out a guy who can go replace Gardiner's minutes and points.

I was worried Babcock was going to bench him a bit after the second penalty. The one where he was dead tired and couldn’t skate so he hung on to the Carolina player for dear life.
Babcock went right back to him and his line. Nylander was had a couple good chances and some good passes to marleau.

I think the Blues might bite if offered Nylander, Matthews, Marner, Kapanen, Brown, Reilly and Lijliegren for Pieterangelo. Leafs may need to sweeten the pot by throwing in Johnson. That'll get it done if the Leafs throw in a 1st, 2nd and third round pick. Plus Dermott.
