The Flyers are going to be getting other teams top players for players we don't want anymore. We'll throw in a draft pick here or there.

I'm okay with this plan

If Im Fletcher I see if I can turn Simmer and Jake into something similar to the Carter and Richards returns.

Prospects, picks and\or young players.

No interest in getting a player that is older than those 2 just because it might help them make it to the first round and get destroyed.

I don't believe this would make Holmgren and Scott happy.

I'm all for getting good players from other teams as long as the Flyers don't have to trade any roster players, prospects, or draft picks.

Teams can make trades that help both teams.

They sure can.

on some level I hate it because he was a Pen, little easier that he is not now but I have to be honest I would have to like this guy either way... CLASS ACT

20/20 but man if the rumors of Flyers getting him last year were true...

Fleury stays fresh during power outage by mingling with fans

Well remember, those deals did bring back two young roster players in Simmonds and Voracek, as well as Schenn and Couturier who made the team out of camp.

That's what I hope happens if they make a deal. Make something that makes sense for now and moving forward.

Need a goaltender, need another top 4 defenseman, but this is where I see the biggest need:

Group A
Giroux

Group B
Voracek
Konency

Group C
Couturier

Group D
JvR
Simmonds
Weise
Raffl
Laughton
Patrick
Lindblom

Group AHL
Lehtera
Weal
Varone

Way too much Group D

I think the cost for the players you want is higher than you think it is.

I loved both those deals.

Will getting high end prospects/young players help them win now? Isn't that what they already have?

I didn't want to put names to them, it would of been guaranteed too much crying out of the butt from someone.

true in some ways, I think experience and time move the younger players up. I think they should give Varone a few more games, I like what i say in limited action on the 4th line. Pretty good wheels and the 4th line actually had some chances in limited action.

Maybe. If they could bring in younger versions or Jake and Simmonds, guys that have the tools but haven't broken through yet, it might.

What safe Vets? The team has Konecny(top line), NoPa(2nd line for the longest time), Lindblom(2nd line for most the season), Varone(played over Lehtera), Provorov, Ghost, Hagg and Sanheim who are all getting good time. Stolarz is the #1 right now over Vet Neuvirth

Who the frank is Hakstol playing that is considered a safe vet?

Lol go look at the ice times for the D and let me know. Take a peek at the ice time of Weise for example when compared to some others.
