Which one:
Sanheim or Gostisbehere?
Build a package to get Peitrangelo.
One of those guys most likely needs to be in it. - J35Bacher
For me it would be Ghost. I would go after Parayko over Peitrangelo.
I would ask what they would want for Tarasenko...Jake plus what ?
Blues and Flyers both need a shakeup

Has been worked in briefly in latter part of some PKs but not regularly. He made a PKing mistake last night, but the only way to learn is to be given a chance to play through it. - bmeltzer
Well yes, this goes to the point of perhaps that is why he didn't get as much ice time as we would have liked last night because the team was shorthanded so much.
Ice time doesn't happen in a vacuum. Plenty of things to rip the coach AND the players about, but pointing out ice time of a specific player to rip the coach without taking in all the considerations is a little disingenuous. |

If St Louis is moving Tarasenko for Voracek then that means St. Louis needs to dump salary as well to even make that trade.
Tarensenko + cap dump player + maybe a pick or prospect
for
Voracek + something cheap |

I need to start watching Blues games so I can see Parayko play. Would they really trade him?

Or they've totally went 180 from we are going for it to blow this thing up. Which I totally doubt happens this year. Hell they may have Q already in their clutches.

In that case AMAC should almost be bullet proof on the Pk. Hägg blew a coverage on a goal. If Hak used this he would have to sit the whole D
Ps let’s not pretend this is just the Flyers; 9-6 / 6-5 it goes on, fans wanted scoring and we got it. Just wish the flyers were better at it |

If they trade any of the guys mentioned it's blow it up time and they'll be horrible for 5 years. |

Please stop with those awful OT Lines. Provorov with Couturier.
And someone please tell Patrick that they are playing hockey games out there. What a disappointing effort/performance from him this year. Showing nothing. - Hatchet
Yeah, best two way forward and dman with your fastest player out to start OT. Makes no sense at all.
Provy scores on the breakaway in OT and the game is over.
Plenty of issues to complain about with the lineup for sure. I'm much more concerned about them being in OT to begin with, which should have never happened.
I have no issue with sending out Coots, Provy and TK in OT. |

That last point is so true. And the swings in large lead to loss are also league wide. The new NHL no lead is safe and no team is going to be safe from being blown off the ice by 6 goals. |

It's Monday morning qbing to complain about that trio starting overtime. They've won as many games as G, Jake and Ghost. And they almost win it last night but since they lose its a horrible choice. I almost bet if that was reversed and G, Jake and Ghost have that exact thing happen people want Coots TK Provy to start. |

Who knows, but I saw somewhere that Doug Armstrong said no one is untouchable on his team.
The Blues are hurting for offense...a DMAN like Ghost could help them. A Dman like Parayko would help Flyers. It would give guys like Sanheim and Provorov more PP time which could help with their confidence.

Total shots were 41- 19 Flames. Amazing the team was that close to winning a game IN Calgary no less against this team with that shot differential. |

Didn't that trio win back-to-back OT games on the first shift last season? This year, they have been out for a couple quick OT losses. But 3-on-3 giveth and 3-on-3 taketh away. There are player usage issues with Hakstol that can be second guessed but this isn't really one of them. |

Bill Meltzer: Wrap: Late Collapse Dooms Flyers to 6-5 OT Loss in Calgary - bmeltzer
Look, we all should have a pretty good feel for what this team is. Bad defensively. Bad goaltending. The bright side should be the offense and it is! We’ve scored 12 goals in the last three games. Since the split of G and Coots, we have balanced scoring.
I’m not so sure we can fix the goaltending because it seems to be either too inexperienced or too broken or just not talented enough but I think the defense could be fix if we just get a new coach with another system. |

Yet kill the coach for choosing 1B over 1A to start overtime. Gotcha. |

But the flyers gave away their chance to sacrifice wins for gaining experience for young players the past two years. That is why Hextall was fired and why hakstol should be fired. But we had to sit through amac vandevelde manning weise goulbourne etc while the future of the franchise sat |

Ahem Comcast would have axed them quicker when the bottom line was what it is now two years ago. No matter when the seats emptied the owners would have dumped Hextall and Hakstol. Hakstol is gone it's just when not if anymore. And when is when they have be coach that is the long term solution ready to sign the dotted line. |

goaltending now and when Elliot is back is not the most pressing issue. no goalie can stop this grade A chances. ride stollie, raise his trade value |

The issue with this game was the Flyers were soft as butter around their net. Not one flame player was challenged or had to fight to get to the puck. Not a single flame player had to pay a price to get to puck in the so called greasy areas of the ice. The front of the Flyers net is the NHL version of Candyland. |

STFU Nerd, completely separate issue. - Hatchet
Three posts in this thread and two about the OT choice. Then this gem that shows they got out worked and still got to overtime. 38-18 shots in regulation that should have been a slaughter but Smith was a sieve. |
