Comcast customer service sucks...I called during a Flyer game earlier this year and told them the Flyers look slow. I asked politely for them to send a reset to the team to see if that corrected the problem and they hung up on me.

Have you tried unplugging the head coach for 10 seconds yet?

I think my Leafs/Tampa game is broken and the fast forward is on...too fast to watch.

I think Ron Hextall was right about one thing and that was and is to be patient within the development of the young players. There is no “regression” here. Provorov and Patrick are dealing with growing pains. Patrick centering the third line isn’t Patrick taking a step back in development. Claude Giroux was our third line center when he entered the league in 08. He was our third line center during the 2010 playoff run. Simon Gagne saw a lot of the third line. We had to trade aging stars so Gagne could move up, same as Giroux. John LeClair I believe won a Stanley Cup with the Habs as a third line player, Otherwise why would you trade away a 50 goal score knowingly?

A perfect example of having three centers with upside is the case of the Vancouver Canucks in the mid to late 2000’s. Brandon Morrison was centering Marcus Naslund and Todd Bertuzzi. Behind that line you had the Sedin Twins, Henrik at center. Behind that combination you had Ryan Kessler and Alex Burrows. Morrison, Kessler and Sedin are really good center. None of which were hurt in development.

100% agree. This fallacy that Giroux can't play center anymore because he's small is as laughable as overpaying for a two way center who can't carry Giroux's jock.

I know they are smoking them. The Johnson goal was a major back breaker.

There was never any wide spread belief that Giroux couldnt play center anymore.

Tampa is good, can easily say the skill or goaltending or speed, but I see 2...3...4...5 times the effort to win that puck or battle.

I don't know who started this with Giroux last year, but Giroux was NOT put on wing because he couldn't do it or because it would save him from "wear and tear". He was put on wing to utilize him a bit more as an offensive weapon by lessening his defensive responsibility. He still takes a crap load of face-offs, it was a smart move and paid off.

Now if Patrick had his breakout year a lot were hoping for this whole needing center depth would be non-existing.

They won't want to do it, but they might not have a choice -- not joking. They really might need Simmonds and Gudas

No worries; Twitter is on the case and is unhappy about the deployment

I undertand where you're going with it, but just because Babcock did it doesn't mean it was right. They were both wrong

Still would of needed a 3c. Still think we need one. Coyle can play all over the lineup. Hes my target.
