5 and 10 min total lol.
Nice to see the best players sitting at the start of OT. Again. - flyer_nutter
So Couturier and Provorov aren't among the best players on the team? |

TK is limberger. |

The issue with this game was the Flyers were soft as butter around their net. Not one flame player was challenged or had to fight to get to the puck. Not a single flame player had to pay a price to get to puck in the so called greasy areas of the ice. The front of the Flyers net is the NHL version of Candyland. - MJL
The Bennet goal to start off was all that. Had all day. |

It's absurd. They seem to be either be wildly undersized to clear the porch or not at all interested in doing it. |

They had multiple opportunities to score at the beginning of the first period but couldn't bury their shots on a night when Smith was terrible. They need a pure scorer amongst other things. |

Almost half of the third period on the PK. Neither plays on it. - dragonoffrost
What's your definition of core? G, V, Raffle, and Couts were the best players on the ice. However, if you mean Andy, Dale I agree with you. |
|
|
|
Trust me if want them playing more but I knew this complaint was coming as soon as the parade started.
I wanted G, Jake, Ghost to start OT but that trio he used has won games before also. Hell Provy almost did tonight. - dragonoffrost
It should not have come to OT at all with 1:17 left, 2 goal lead and a gaping empty net at the other end of the ice. |

Core is the leadership of this team. Your list of best players is the start of it |

True and the wheels came off when Simmonds, Laughton and Ghost took penalties in a row. It may not have been when Calgary scored but it killed players either by over use or non use |

Didn't that trio win back-to-back OT games on the first shift last season? This year, they have been out for a couple quick OT losses. But 3-on-3 giveth and 3-on-3 taketh away. There are player usage issues with Hakstol that can be second guessed but this isn't really one of them. - bmeltzer
its not so much that they aren't good players....But you can't and shouldn't have Giroux and Vorecek watching. To me it's a bonus point. You go with your your best players. I love Coot's, but he does not have Giroux's skill level, and Konecny is not Vorecek. Agree to disagree.

this is the first time in quite a while that Im actually hoping that Eklund is correct....hopefully Quenneville is thinking about the job over Xmas break, because this team's lapses are becoming embarrassing and that in large part falls on Hakstol. Pretty obvious, this team lacks structure on a consistent basis. The Calgary feed talked all night how the Flyers free wheel and lack a sound defensive structure that they stick too. . |

Sooooooo...When our goalie plays well the rest of the team craps the bed.

Am I close to understanding the absolute bs Im watching? |

Disagree. The coach with his personnel selection played "Not to lose", rather than "let's win it".
