Murray, Brassard, etc. They have a lot of 3-4 mil/year guys that they can trade BUT... who will bite.

I tuned into the game last night after coming home late from golf and after dealing with everything, I just watched the last two minutes.

Oh my God, this team can't win.

Provo's break-away was good but 3 on 3 in OT means they are going to be SCREAMING back at you. And when push comes to push - Stolie needs to make a save. That's your job. One of three in three minutes.

Those road points are SO important especially when you've been kinda sucking it like the Flyers have.

If the Quick trade rumors are true - they would be well served with him. He's very good. The Kings win with him and lose without him. It is pretty evident. Perhaps trading somebody like Sanheim and picks might get the deal done? I hate to trade Sanheim but you GOTTA pay to get a goalie.

Comcast is reporting about a proposed St. Louis trade with Tarasenko and Pieterangleo (sp). I can't see them getting both but the D-man can play both sides of the ice for $6m-ish I am in for that if there is a deal to be done. Provo and Ghost get better with someone like him to lead.

So, the Flyers are going to trade for a 33 yr/old ,35, and an injured 30 (totalling $16M in cap hit) with a 24 yr/old, 19, 22/21 - less than $2M (add a 32/30 for $4.7-5M)... I don't care who the players are, this is a horrible trade idea. Frost, Sanheim and Myers have the potential to be stars in the league (not superstars, just stars). And, all this for what is essentially rentals. These Hawks all have there best years behind them.

It really depends on the deal, doesn't it. Quick is an upgrade to any of the goalie we have... The only issue that I see is the length of his contact - through 22-23 - which may interfere with Hart's career path. But, if Quick can play 1A for two years, and move to back up for Hart... That might work. Or just trade or demote Quick in two years. He is 32 right now... not young.
