Craig Anderson is going to Philly for Neuvirth and a 2nd - riceroni
Nah Anderson will be dealt at the draft
as Ottawa needs to finish in the 10- 16 spot in the draft. |

It really depends on the deal, doesn't it. Quick is an upgrade to any of the goalie we have... The only issue that I see is the length of his contact - through 22-23 - which may interfere with Hart's career path. But, if Quick can play 1A for two years, and move to back up for Hart... That might work. Or just trade or demote Quick in two years. He is 32 right now... not young. - leon neon
The cost will be to high for a team that needs a lot of help and Giroux isn’t getting any younger and Simmonds and JAKE most likely gone. |

I don't think the team needs a lot of help. They can score goals. I think the issue is a young defense (too many), and AMC is not the veteran that then need. The defense situation would not be so bad, if the goalie could help them out. Our goalies just aren't doing it. One good goalie, could change things pretty Quick. Sorry for the pun - wait, no I'm not... |

Eklund: Penguins and Blues Talking Trade. Flyers scouting goalies... - Eklund
now THIS should be interesting....
over the past three - four weeks we heard repeatedly that there was no way the Leafs could acquire Paryako... unless the Leafs included two front line players , several picks and ate some cap.
so are the Pens giving up Malkin and Crosby? |

The Flyers & G Quick makes no sense based on Carter being 2 years (or sooner) away from NHL.
Here’s a bold win now Fletcher trade which may also help Stan keep his job in Chicago (if all players waive NMCs)
To Philly: G Crawford, D Keith, C Anisimov
To Chicago: G Stolarz, C Frost, D Sanheim or Myers (D MacDonald & C Lehtera added for salary cap reasons) - DrewDawg
No thank you. You can keep all 3, but if you need cap space you could always throw something of value in there. |

I'd absolutely love to get Parayko. But no way it fits under Cap. And you'd be looking at dealing away Guentzel, Rust, Maatta and a #1 pick. How exactly does that make you deep enough to go far in the post season?
Pens don't want Quick. That would likely require Murray to go to STL or LA in some part of the deals; again I dont see why that makes sense--on either side. I think its far more likely a minor deal occurs that sends Jake Allen to Pittsburgh, the kid could use a change of scenery and maybe Murray could too...he's got unfair expectations to begin with, and add to that the moronic section of Pens fans who Blame him for running their man-crush Marc Andre Fleury out of town... He can't win, they were even ripping him in the 2 years they won the Cup |

I'm looking forward to see how many creative ways Penguins fans come up with offers containing Murray, Maatta, and Rust for Quick. |

I thought there was a salary cap in this league? How are the Pens always getting top notch talent without giving up salary or talent? |

Creative? Those players together is overpayment. If you are expecting a 1st round and/or a prospect then you are going to be disappointed. |

Wow for once Eklund posts something may actually make sense. A Murray for Quick+ Deal makes sense for both teams if Pitt is really starting to question Murray as a top flight goalie. Plus the timeline of both players and teams really does line up. |

Except the Kings don't want any of those 3 players, so a trade including any or all of them is a no go from the Kings side.
We already had this conversation the other day about Quick's trade value, so I'm not going to re-litigate it. |

The only way Murray goes to the Kings is as a cap dump to help out Pittsburgh's situation. They already have their goalie of the future ready to go. There's no way the Kings add to get Murray. |

The only upside to Murray for LA is that he could regain his form. He's still an RFA at the end of his contract that is only 2 yrs. He would still be an asset in the future. Still allowing Petersen to develop. |

Even if that's the case, why would the Kings trade Quick+ for Murray? They could trade him elsewhere for immediate forward help, a young quality prospect, or a draft pick. If the Kings want to allow Petersen more time to develop they can play Campbell or Budaj.
Trading your future Hall of Fame goaltender for a young struggling goaltender doesn't make sense, especially when the Kings already have several strong goaltending prospects in the pipeline. |

I don’t see them moving Murray. Maatta, Sheahan is 6-7 mil. On top of brassard being in the rumors last week. And Schultz on LTIR frees up some money as well.. def doable trades. I don’t see them getting both anyway if it is Par and Quick. But one is needed for sure. |

I wasn't suggesting it would be Quick +. Because thats not going to be the case. But I also think that if Quick were to be traded. It will be for more than what you and most others think. |

I didn't say what I thought he was going to go for here. Just that it wasn't going to be for Murray, Rust, Maatta, or any combination of the three.
If you want to see my thoughts on what Quick would go for, look here:

LOL....was that a Bob reference? If so...it's pretty common knowledge how he falls apart once the playoffs begin. |
